I've just got to Skyhold (first time playing it), and all my crew have good armour and weapons, but a good-looking, powerful helmet seems pretty hard to come by. Is it just me? I'm still wearing the adventurer helmet...
where to get decent headgear?

Try the Black Emporium that's where I got my venatori helmet. Check the caves and other shops. I got a great hat when I freed the keep in the desert. I just get schematics for hats from Val Royal then pick the best stuff I can get to make new ones. Good Luck

If you have the JOH DLC- you can get to the Avvar Bear Hold Merchant an pick up some good schematics. It costs 8 power to open the Frostback Basin- and you can get there without having to battle any high level enemies. They sell a tier 3 version of the 'Helm of the Inquisitor' as well as some good tier 4 Armor Schematics. It's one of the first things I do when I get to Skyhold.
