I was hoping for an ETA sooner rather than latter. I started a new playthrough of the game in anticipation for the Black Emporium. Still waiting....

But you what? Bioware's been on a roll with Inquisition, so they can take their time to get things right if that means they bring us lots of cool new stuff in the Black Emporium.

And, you know, if they wanted to add a heap of new hair options, that'd be cool too.

Wink wink.

You know I would love a lot of new CC options hell I will even pay for it but if the Emporium ends up being the Vanilla CC then they wont get a dime of my money.

Nobody said it would cost anything.

Steady on. There's no need to overreact and do something you might regret later.

I have a feeling Bioware will package Black Emporium with the upcoming paid DLC. :(

Maybe they'll decide to be cool, and release a bunch of new hairstyles & beardstyles along with the Black Emporium, as a suprise!

One can hope.

I've been in the Hinterlands too long - I read that as new bearstyles...

But in all seriousness, I'm taking a break from Inquisition so that when the new releases do eventually come out, I can go back into it fresh and optimistic!

Tried to do the same. Lasted a few weeks even. But, alas, not long enough.

OK, no, seriously. Where's the Black Emporium?! Pretty sure Bioware officials came out and said they wanted to get the Black Emporium out before they even started *thinking* about DLC.

Well... the DLC is here people.

Soooooooo... where's the Black Emporium? Heck, I'll take just a little update on the thing :/

Seems like the Black Emporium should be releasing towards the start of May and it will be free.

It's good to finally have a release window and a confirmation that the update won't cost any money.

Hopefully the time spent on the Emporium update means we'll be getting a lot of new stuff :)

Haha. no. It just means they spent more time working on Jaws of Hakkon.

Made more obvious by the May release, IMO.

Someone was tinkering with the game files the other day and they removed Blackwall's beard and found another beard under it. That's why his is so lush and everyone else's is so poor. He has a double beard.

This just makes me giggle. They removed his beard... and there was another beard!

Like nesting dolls!

Sweet, a 2 month delay for something that should have been included in the original release! Thanks based Bioware, you're so good to us! Now let me go back to my flagellation room so I can whip myself a few hundred times thinking about how awesome you are and how I don't deserve your greatness

Don't want it? Don't get it. It's good additional content that they're taking their time with and won't cost a dime.

It is, in fact, pretty damn sweet.

Oh I'm not saying I won't get it, I've been craving for it since release. My point is that by being satisfied with content that was in a previous game, and that by all means should have been included at the release, being given to us not only 2 months after the announcement of said content but a good 6 months after release is what is driving the industry down. Why should devs bother giving us a good game if shills like you will take a broken game and gladly wait half a year for it being fixed, which it's still not by the way.

Yes, it's good content, but it's insulting that we have to wait for so long to get a basic feature that many, if not most, RPGs offer WITHOUT having to wait a year to get.

Forgive if I misread your comment as a tad more cynical than it was perhaps intended to be, there are the Bioware forums after all. I'm sadly accustomed to assuming every comment is dripping with entitled hatred for Bioware and all of their doings.

I still have to disagree with the notion that it 'should' have been in the base game, however. Would it have been nice? Yes. Do may other games have such features included? Indeed. But just because it wasn't there doesn't mean it 'should' have been there in the first place. I'm quite happy that they are taking their time to listen to fan feedback and implement it into the game at no charge, something I would not have thought Bioware capable of doing just a year or two ago.

Fair enough, I suppose expecting a dev to add every feature I like is a tad unrealistic. What is bugging me the most out of this whole thing though is that the Black Emporium was present in DA2 (via DLC, yes, but included nonetheless) and was a very popular feature. I simply don't understand how a dev team can just ignore this and not add it to their next game, which they want to be much better than the previous, since, well, DA2 wasnt exactly the best game of all time.

Is it more EA than Bioware? Perhaps, when we look at SimCity, Sims 4 and such it's hard not to see all the features they stripped only to add later via DLC. Seems like it's their new policy. They're lucky I've still have enough respect for Bioware for the games they made in the past to still want to buy their games despite EA's toxic influence, but who's to say how long I'll last. What wouldn't I give for Bioware to be free of EA again...

Juggie, if I could like all your posts, I would. Sadly, I hit my [ridiculous] like quota hours ago. B^U

Edit: You, too, Appalachian; you've posted a lot of helpful and reasonable stuff, so thank you!

I hope that since the Emporium isnt gonna drop until May hopefully it will be overhauled with lots of new options I swear I would kill for the ability to use Blackwall & Cullens Hairstyles on my Inquisitors Im just saying.

But when May gets here and its just the Vanilla CC I will f****** rage seriously they made JOH which I liked but if the Emporium doesnt improve the CC than they have failed.

Maybe it's wishful thinking on my part, but I doubt it would take it's own beta and such a lengthy production time if The Black Emporium was just going to be the vanilla CC.
