And considering it takes them over 72 hours to censor any criticism threads in this section, and with Mass Effect 2 and more DLC for both that and DA:O over the horizon, I can say with 100% confidence that this game will NEVER be fixed.
With that said, this game might serve some small purpose when I trade it in to GameStop to shave off a few bucks on my purchase of Final Fantasy XIII when it comes out.

When I'm done getting the platinum trophy for this (only 1 trophy to go), I can't wait until I get into Star Ocean TLH: International and FFXIII. JRPGs on consoles are still the RPG option that isn't full of bugs when released, like how console games has been before this 'online' 7th generation.

Don't expect any bugfix though. I believe we can even expect more bugs with any da extension.

We're apparently getting a patch when RtO comes out on PS3. Which is ages away.
FF12 was honestly better than this game in pretty much every way, ignoring the dialogue (it's a JRPG) and the graphics (it was on PS2). And people hated it (I loved it, but what do I know?)
People have vastly overrated this game. It's good, sure. It isn't great though. And Bioware has given us pathetic support.

I have played FFXII as well as this game, and i can say it's a matter of opinion which game is better. I happen to love both games. I don't waste time with the J/W thing in front of RPG, though. Purists understand where games are developed doesn't matter as long as they are good games.
As for calling it vastly overrated, that also is a matter of opinion. It's one of the best games i have played on the PS3, and that's saying something considering the great games it has aready.
I don't have any issues with the support, either. I understand that the PS3 is more difficult to patch and create DLC for. As much as i love my PS3, i don't have a problem admitting Sony needed to make it more developer friendly, which may in fact be the reason we haven't seen a patch or DLC come as quickly as the PC/360 for which Bioware has been developing games for years on now.
This lack of patience by today's gamers has me worried about the direction gaming is going. Being an older gamer, i remember the joy at getting to the arcade to play the original Star Wars sit down game where you made a run at the Death Star trench. Hell, i owned a copy of ET for the Atari......:innocent:
Learn to be thankful for what you have, people, because you never know when you may no longer enjoy it.

It is not Sony's fault if Bioware can't get used to developing a patch for game they themselves released on its platform. It is not good business strategy to release a product on a platform that they might not be able to support very well. It is also not good business practice to ignore its consumers.
People defending Bioware on this needs to step back and look at the bigger picture. The game has bugs, some game-breaking to certain players, and they do not communicate. Bugs are found in a game, a platform-specific patch is needed, but the developer has not released a patch with no announcements made, despite a portion of the public voicing concerns. It is as simple as that.

I feel your pain. Probably the worst video game ever made, and that's saying something.
People complaining about low-res textures etc should check a few Atari vids on youTube to see what we put up with back in the day

After running through the game again (6 times) I have only one issue the giant hole in the brecillian ruins. "I can see down the lady of the forest's twigs from here" haha
really? you not once noticed the horrid camera clipping through the world everywhere (either by walking entirely through a wall or adjusting the camera at a certain angle)? or the constant character animation glitching during cutscenes? or the countless amounts of quest markers that don't go away (or they reappear) if you didn't do the quest in the right order? or the really awful pixelation in the final cutscene killing the archdemon? or the texture seams on various characters? or the framerate issues (during cutscenes, during in-game battles, etc...)? or people floating 6 feet in the air (the maid in arl eamon's estate in denerim)? or wounded soldiers standing on top of or clipping through their cots?
shall i go on? the point is, i guess, that this game is a buggy mess that really needs to get fixed. the only thing that i can give it so far is that it has not crashed.

Just chiming in here... but no. I've not hit any of that, and I'm almost 50 hours into the game. In fact the only complaint I have is it doesn't look as crisp as my PC version, but I got over that.

WTF?!
"Yeah, uh, I've been having these really bad clipping framerate issues on my PS3 copy of Dragon Age ever since my, uh, my Dog, (yeah that's it, blame the "Dog") "chewed" on my copy of Dragon Age. Do you think you could fix the framerate since it was my "Dog" who messed it up?
Thanks, Love and Kisses

I'm also boycotting RTO (not formally) since it coming out for PC/XBox first, made me give in and watch it on YouTube. It was no where near as cool as Warden's Keep and I just can't see doing it after 4 games completed for 40 minutes of gameplay.
Here's hoping Awakening will be awesome, but in the meantime I will rent Darksiders and Heavy Rain. Plus, GOW3 comes out same day as Awakening right (or is it a week earlier)? So I will get that first then armor-up for the expansion.
Good luck, PS3-mates!
