I would choose a lighter safflower-based rouge. It's a subtler effect that highlights your cheeks while still maintaining a natural appearance. Carmine- or Alloxan-based rouges are more likely to make you look like a circus clown. They're also more likely to cause skin or health related issues over the long term. I'm unfamiliar with varric-, sera- or cole-based rouges.

In that case, it doesn't really matter. Given equal equipment and tactics, the AI handles them adequately. Just pick the specialization/personality/party banter you prefer.
