This is utterly ridiculous ( I'm posting here as EA forums is pretty much dead and no response). There's never been a game that's caused me this much trouble let alone a AAA title so long after release... Constant sudden crashes to desktop without any errors the game simply closes itself...

You won't even admit the problem exists when there's hundreds of people with the problem on forums and I personally know 5 people who experienced the issue with varying frequency.

YES I do have up to date drivers YES I tried different settings I switched between mantle and directx YES I did turn off all cpu/gpu monitoring programs ( that's seriously hilarious having to disable those ) .

Reducing mesh quality and maybe disabling/lower antialiasing and ssao options seems to only lower the frequency of the crash which also depends on the location ... in Hinterlands it's probably the most frequent...

Honestly tho even setting everything to absolute lowest can still result in crashes as frequent as after 5 minutes of gameplay...

I am pretty much at my witt's end with this game. Some people even say that the 1.06 patch increased the frequency of crashes and some say they never crashed before and they now do! ...

To me it seems like the game could be causing a sudden spike in it's requirements maybe thus forcing the game to shut down?Dunno if it makes sense... It doesn't look like memory leak at least.  I turned off all extra software I ran ( Asus AI Suite, MSI Afterburner and stuff like that) just to see if it changes anything and no it doesn't...

My pc specs:

A10-5800k quad cpu @ 4.3 ghz

8gb 2133 mhz ram

asus radeon r9 290x

Windows 7 64 bit

Gotta go for now and rethink calmly if I missed anything... Please look into this for the love of everything that's sacred =(

I don't know what's wrong with this game but in all the many years of gaming something this messed up never happened ... usually such dire problems are fixed in a matter of days...

It's a bunch of different problems ... some people with DX issues or CTD's or being alltogether unable to even launch the game ... I don't know if they're all related or what the hell is going on in there but I wish Bioware gave us some sort of heads up that they're atleast acknowledging the issues and are working on it =(

Hi :)

Remember reading something about a possible reason for the DX errors. Apparently when playing the game via Origin, Origin and Windows are arguing with each other over who is in control of the game.

So many issues PC players are having with this game makes you wonder if they even tested?

Judging how the controls were when it was released, no walk toggle, I take it they gave it to someone who never played an RPG on PC

I can't believe anyone with experience on playing on PC didn't scream out how bizarre the controls were

It's like console players took over Bioware

this is the same company that made PC RPGs?

Postprocessing - Low.

That seems to be the biggest thing that impacts this.

You can also play fullscreen windowed mode. It isn't ideal, but if it stops the crashing so you can play...

All my random crashes stopped after going fullscreen windowed mode. I actually prefer it, because alt-tabbing to the desktop is now hassle free. Full screen can be rather stubborn in this regard.

I've been using fullscreen windowed since the start and yes turning posprocessing to low did help but crashes still happen. I was also told to use RadeonPro with Dynamic V-sync option not sure if it really helps or not but seems like it did lower the frequency of crashes for me.

AMD Mantle crashes are actually a different thing and AMD is working on those in their newest beta drivers ( Finally took like half a year... )

I have the same thing happen to me on xbox one. It just closes out the game and returns me to the main hub for no apparent reason at absolutely random intervals.

You're shitting me ? It even happens on consoles? Now that's really fucked up cause fine pc's got so many combination the possibility of something not being fully compatibile is quite high but consoles? Friggin EA/Bioware...
