For throwaway dialogue and/or meaningless codex-entries/passing-notes alluding to the choice while the story moves away from this region of Thedas altogether, I figure -- success/failure irrelevant (if the reign of any given Divine Victoria is even elaborated on at all).

It wouldn't surprise me if when writers replace them with a new divine who's policies are a mixture of all three of the Victoria's reigns, and unify all the players' world states into a singular narrative for the next title or novel.

Probably the best way to stop this "my divine is better than yours" BS.

And some people would still complain about their favorite divine got replaced, and how BioWare lack of respect for player's decision. There's no winning for BioWare.

Personally, I'm willing to just say that Inquisition was a bad game.

True, it could have been completely Skyrim instead of 75%.

I rather BioWare just do things their way instead of trying to be something else. I still remember that greatness DAO had, but it seems like BioWare nowadays just lost it. Well, Skyrim is not flawless, and it's not even the best in TES series IMO.

It doesn't matter Cassandra, Leliana and Vivienne they are all false Divines, the true Divine and the only one that matters lies at the heart of the Imperium.

Well, DAO was a very easy formula. Bioware was a bit bolder with 2... Inquisition was fairly obvious pandering, but I hope that Bioware's creative spirit will be revived for the fourth game.

We can only hope their creative spirit will be revived for the fourth game, and for every future game. I hate to sound like a pessimist, but I fear for the fourth game. At the very least I think DAI is not a complete disaster.

I swear Bioware doesn't even know what they want the DA series to be like considering how many changes they make.

personally DAI!Hardened Leliana breaks my heart to see

for my Inquisitor on the other hand Hardened Leliana is exactly the kind of thing needed to excise the cancer permeating the Chantry

Morrowind FTW! Plus it had some of the best mods around, like LGNPC.

Perhaps it's related with the way they have guided Leliana throughout the journey.

Well, that's debatable, but I prefer Morrowind as well. However, there's a few things in Oblivion that I prefer over Skyrim, such as Dark Brotherhood quests, Arena quests, Shivering Isles, and I do like Cyrodiil more than Skyrim, if anyone asks me which province I like to live in.

I felt Oblivion was very iffy, up until they released Shivering Isles, the Dark Brotherhood quests were pretty much it's only redeeming feature. Everything else felt very generic. Not to mention I really hated the over top level scaling they put in.

Not gonna lie, but the fact that BioWare manage to kill Corypheus's character after the showdown at Haven, turning him into nothing more than incompetence villain with delusion of grandeur and a nuisance more than real threat after that great introduction scene. Almost make me done with this series. Just look at one of Varric & Dorian banter, way to kill a character, and ruin a potential powerful villain.

The problem I personally have with Leliana as Divine is that it makes no sense in the context of the universe that the writers have built up. Throughout NPC dialogue, war table text and codex entries, we know that the general populace fears mages, and situations with mages when they are let loose in the public almost always end violently.

There is no way you can convince me in a single line (even if it is read by Claudia Black) that not only is the Chantry now fine being open to all races (even Qunari?!?), but the public is now on the mage hype train.

It's a utopian vision, but in no way fits the universe. You'd need an entire game to establish that kind of change in public opinion.

Leliana is the best Divine in my opinion. The only one that furthers my plot for mage supremacy.
