I'm pretty sure we don't know half of the sexuality of those characters. By assuming they're all straight you are kinda showing your own biases towards heterosexuality being the norm.

 

I'm sure someone already mentioned that he didn't say straight, he said "cis" white men and women (meaning not trans).

 

Anyway, it's because they are in countries that mimic medieval England and the 19th century France (what a mix) and therefore when there is a non-white villain (the Qunari of Alexius --I assume the Tevinters are like Asians) its appropriate.

I'm wondering about the cis in the title. Cause there really is only 2 trans characters in the series this far, one magister and Krem another one.. so is there really need for trans villain at this point? I wouldn't be against it, but it seems like odd thing to request.

I've seen it get used as a default description for people who aren't transgender but IMO I don't think its always a helpful term. Cis requires the feeling/belief of a dualistic form of gender.  Transgender means you aren't matching,  to match there needs to be two things working harmoniously (mental and physical). So if you don't believe/feel you yourself have two things working together that makes you feel OK about the body you have,  logically it follows you cant be cis.  When I see someone describe someone else using that term without asking them first, like Cole I wonder "How do you know?".

 

What I find weird about the "Cis" label is that it kinda sometimes feels like it's thrown around as a politically correct means to label everyone who's not part of the LGBTQ community, regardless of the fact that even the LGBTQ label is kinda ridiculous when you think about it, since it's impossible to really cement anyone's sexuality as it all exists on a spectrum?
