Every time I try to enter the undercroft in Skyhold now the game freezes. Can't progress, this is with the latest patch anyone else getting this or know of a workaround? Seems to have happened after I did the "acquire the arcanist" mission on the war table.

I apologize for the obvious answer, but have you tried repairing your game through Origin since you patched?

Yeah I tried that, didn't work. I think I may have found out what caused it though, but not sure. I acquired the arcanist, but never went into the undercroft (this was when you first get skyhold). I left, did the entire Fallow Mire and then came back. That was when the loading screen for the undercroft would freeze. I'm assuming it has something to do with the cinematic that plays when you first go in there once acquiring her. I loaded up an earlier save and entered the undercroft right after doing the mission, and it seems to work. So if my theory is correct and that was the issue, with luck I won't run into it again.

I have exactly the same problem after I did the war table operation to get my arcanist. Since then, no way to enter Undercroft.

I don't have such a save game, especially because I don't remember when I finished the operation. I only know that I didn't enter undercroft since, because there was no need to. But it can't be a "solution" to enter the undercroft right after that operation, anyway. It worked fine before the patch, no matter when you entered.

Had it run for 30 minutes now, but without success. Although my CPU tells me that it is still running, nothing happened. Repair didn't work for me either. Still no way to enter the undercroft

PS4 - I tried this with a save just after I acquired the arcanist but didn't visit the undercroft/blacksmith. I went to Val Royeax, came back and could enter the Undercroft with the cutscene with Dagna without any problems.

Might be just a PC thing. I never had this issue before, but with P5 I did. I can confirm that going back to before I did the mission, redoing it and immediately entering I never ran into the issue again for the rest of the playthrough. An odd bug I must say. Not sure how to fix it otherwise, wish you luck Kendra.

I was hoping, patch 6 would solve the problem, but it didn't

Well, I have the same problem with another Inquisitor, although I went to the Undercroft right after Acquiring the Arcanist

Found a solution. I set my graphics to low and after that both cutscenes triggered, so I can now do Masterworks with both Inquisitors.
