2nd playthough and I'm a dwarf. Somehow a dwarf leading the armies of Thedas is hystical lol I mean how desparate are they, really?

A dwarf being Herald of Andraste is funny, but as for leading armies- you couldn't ask for a race with more natural badass.

I really enjoyed playing as a Dwarf inquisitor, but those animation issues were seriously noticeable.  Plus it ruined my first kiss with Dorian.  I suppose I got a good laugh out of that though, so that's okay.  ^_^

I don't consider them alike.. it's just a whole different fantasy race.

I think even Gaider dismissed any relation to real world little people. People accused him of having serious/real world discrimination hangups when he made comments about dwarf romances.

He couldn't have and didn't defeat Stannis's forces. If Tywin and the Tyrells didn't show up King's Landing would have belonged to Stannis, Though it is portrayed slightly less obviously in the show I guess.
Tyrion did do well with the defense regardless though.

Brother Burkel would like to have a word with the haters.

I must have missed the "leading armies" part. I do remember saving a few inquisition scouts here and there, does that count?

Being a dwarf definitely makes the Templar questline with the Envy demon more interesting, believe it or not. Envy makes it clear it's desperate to be you. It has obsessively studied every pivotal moment of your rise to power at that point, and desperately sifts through your mind to find that little spark that makes you "special." Naturally, the PC can choose modest responses along the lines of, "Why would you want to be ME?"

Envy's desperation to be special or important like the PC, and the PC's incredulous response to being seen as special, can take a more significant echo if you play as a Dwarf. I mean, you're physically smaller (and thus don't look as important or imposing), you come from an economically and politically worthless "shady smuggler" background, and you are racially and culturally less consequential in the world of human politics than even an Elf or Qunari.

I personally enjoy exploring this from a roleplay perspective, but everyone is different.

Doesn't he get hacked to pieces anyway?
