I would probably buy a remaster if it also came to PC (which might be unlikely)

I would by a remaster only if they remastered more than just graphics, fixing the glitches and bugs, making improvements. Maybe even doing something to the ending.

Am I the only one who thinks them doing a remaster any time soon is very highly unlikely? Why even would they? The games aren't that old, they're certainly not that dated, and BW are working on the next part of the franchise.

Because remasters have become huge? Selling millions and MILLIONs of new copies, often for full $60 price for essentially old games? They may not be dated but neither PS4 or Xbone is backward compatible so you can't just stick your old discs in new console and play. Many gamers sell their old consoles when they buy new ones. Majority of Mass Effect sales and audience come from consoles environment, not PC. Plus, improved versions of older titles are always attarctive for core fans

They can't mess things up like with the PS3 port of ME1 though. It lacked Motion Blur even though it was kept as an on/off setting in options and the save times were rrreeeaaallllly long.

It has to be 1080p 60fps and save in the blink of an eye like on my pc or I'm out. The reason why I'm interested is because I want to reexperience the trilogy on a bigger screen and with a controller, and hopefully with a few tweaks. Remove the door scanner in ME3's Normandy plz. My pc proves it's useless and there's no excuse for them to keep it when the ps4 is probably twice as strong as my pc (supposedly)

No they haven't. TLOU and Halo are the exceptions rather than the rule.

There were barely any new AAA games for PS4 and XBoxOne for most of 2014. This won't happen this or next year. We might see a Uncharted Remaster because Sony once again has no big game for Christmas.

I'd guess that was there to slow you down for a couple of reasons:
- To background load the rest of the deck. Most of time you were in the war room / comm room area, you were automatically put there post-mission.
- To listen to the conversations between the guards posted there - though I suppose it's more likely those conversations exist only to give you something to do while waiting for the load.

Mainly because the X1/PS4 have only been out for just over a year and there still very few next gen only titles, many dev teams are still adjusting to the next gen of consoles.

I wouldn't count on it, it'll just cost too much to add even a few new scene, that's not even counting hiring the VA's and remasters usually have a small budget.

If they add controller support for PC to the remake, I might actually buy it.

Can't believe I just said that, but hooking up my giant tv to my pc has made me lazy beyond words.

It's the other way around. The two guards keep yapping in an attempt to distract us from notcing it's masking a loading screen.

As for the first thing you're right. I have a mod on PC that removes the scanner and when you open up the door on the other end you can see the map hasn't been loaded but once you step into the room it loads instantly, although on max settings and 1080p it takes 2 seconds so it's because the war-room section of the Normandy is loaded seperately due to last-gen limitations.

What with the high res texture mods done (despite ea's best efforts) by some talented people I'm not sure what a remaster would bring to pc.

I wonder if any scenes and dialogue that was cut from the trilogy be added to the remaster.

At the very least, they should fix scenes and content that were bugged out. Like Zaeed's dialogue on the Citadel. Or the flashbacks of beam outcomes during Extended Cut.

Though one fear I have is things getting more bugged out. There's a lot of logic paths that can be broken when doing the remaster. I'd hate to lose more content by accident. But considering PS4 and Xbox One are like PCs, I'm hoping they just use the PC versions as a basis for the Remasters. It should make things easier. And I really hope they improve ME3's look. I want real lighting. Not the paint on lighting they seemed to have used in that game.

Also hope Femshep from ME3 gets put into ME1 and ME2.

Probably nothing, but then PC users account for only a small fraction of total sales. A remaster would be worth purchasing for many console gamers, which is why we've seen several popular games get the next gen remaster treatment.

I still love the idea of a remastered edition. However, I somewhat doubt that Mass Effect 3 would undergo a remaster update. It is only three years old. They could fix some bugs and glitches, add a bit a dialogue, add some weapons, armor, and maybe even more areas, but Mass Effect 3 will likely be just a port over to next generation.

Mass Effect 1 and 2 will probably get the major updates and upgrades.

Either way, I still would love a remastered edition for the first three. Please confirm it BioWare... please.

Halo 4 got the remaster treatment and that game came out after ME 3 if my memory is correct.  I think ME 3 also has some technical issues that a remaster could help iron out.

There are only two reasons I still bother with my 360 even after I bought an xbox one.  The Mass Effect trilogy and Skyrim.  Now I know that Skyrim is never going to get a remaster simply because of it's huge player base on PC and it's large modding community but Mass Effect on the other hand is a console oriented series and the majority of the player base is on console especially on xbox.  Many of us would love to play Mass Effect on our shiny new rigs especially with updated visuals.   Not only that but they might even be able to fit the entire trilogy on just one disc with the new hardware they have.  Right now in it's current state with last gen technology on the xbox 360 there are 5 discs between the three games.  The disc swapping can get particularly annoying with ME 3 due to the fact that it asks you to swap out the discs at odd times.

It said something about the postings indicating that the jobs were for one console rather than both, and it also mentioned something about a proprietary game engine, which Unreal isn't.

I'd like to see either series remastered.

Mass Effect also uses Unreal though?
