OMIGOD YAASSSSSS.  Hotness.  I also liked the earrings and the gray skin--why is IB peach colored????

I liked Bull but he could have been anyone: a dwarf, elf, etc with that personality. I would have so totally dug walking around with someone like the Arishok or Sten again.

I liked the contrast though. Not every Qunari has to be stoic and short tempered. Plus both the Arishok and Sten were from the military branch and Bull was from the spy police. So it could be an environmental effect on personality.

Do they only choose people with extremely small heads and large breasts as secret police?

It's a bit unfair on this fellow though to tar him with the same brush (not you personally) since he never said anything of the sort. Saying, "Neither of these romance options is my cup of tea, I preferred a character more like Morrigan/Isabella/whoever. Is there any chance we could have a romance more like that in future?" is an entirely valid position, and one that I would support; although personally I don't much care either way.

Oh, of course. It's not his fault that all those other guys have poisoned this well.

If Bull was devout Qunari he would not romance IQ, especially a mage IQ, the female warrior IQ might have ended up in kitchens but the mage definitely in chains (and I do not mean it as a part of a bdsm scene.)

I mean YMMV, but I generally liked Bull. I will say though, that I was a fan of the DA2 Qunari build. *swoons over the Arishok* and i don't even like long hair!

I love spending time in the Qunari compound in DA2 and walk around looking at them.

DA2 Qunari, the hottest being in DA universe.

Right so it would be specialty gated and keep to the Qun.

No - they choose people who can fight and lie. Just like Iron Bull said.

Why does every critic of someone have to be reduced to what they look like? Besides Iron Bull looks different to all the other companions, which is good, due to the helmet issue in DA:O Sten just looked like a tall human

A Qunari would not romance a Tal-Vashoth either.

LOL--I would do the same thing.  Just hang out.  Nice chiseled jaws, muscular gray bodies, lots of paint...loved the Qunari.

Because we're humans?  Why do we prefer a particular gender (or not) or prefer tall or short (or not) or thin over overweight (or not) because attraction has a lot to do with what someone looks like....sad to say.

Also because in the game we're not spending hours upon hours getting to talk to them like we would in real life because we're fetching shards or closing rifts so it comes down a lot to how they look.

Still with that small head he must live with a perpetual headache with those huge horns.  I'm surprised he's not grumpier.

Iron Bull was sent to spy because of his adaptability, spies need to be able to adapt to the society they are spying on, otherwise they would be totally and completely obvious.

Besides, Qunari we've met don't seem to expect people outside of the Qun to behave like them.

true, but true qunari don't romance is the crux of the statement. they don't do love as we know it. sure, they have deep feelings for others, but it isn't defined in the way that we define it. Just look at Seamus and his Qunari friend.

As a human male, there isnt anyone I really want my character to pursue. The appeal in DAO and DA2 just ain't there. I mean, Josephine seems quite nice, but let's face it, she's no Morrigan...

I understand. I am pleased with romance in DAI but felt disappointed in DAO and DA2. I had Sera and Josephine in this release. And will have Cassandra too, when the, oh, so controversial mod is finished. Funny how tastes differ. I saw Leliana as a psychotic in DAO and that kind of bears out in DAI, not for me thank you. And DA2 offered a rather loose Isabela or a ditsy Merrel, neither of whom interested me. Now I get three that do interest me. Perhaps next release you will make out better. I guess romance has become somewhat important as a part of the overall story, but fortunately for now the romance does not seem to affect the play of the game although I think it should.

The Cassandra mod is out there, you'll just need to do a google search.  I've found it for myself (which I don't plan on using,) but due to the controversy and harassment the modder received, I'm not linking it in a post.

Yeh, I was just thinking that Seamus and the Qunari (well, it seemed like it was implied) were lovers, right?

It's not really implied either way. Seamus has a deep respect/affection for him, but he never states whether or not it was sexual, and of course we don't have Assad's viewpoint on the matter.

Why would they include Tal-Vashoth, necessarily?

Even if we accept that as true, which I don't, that doesn't mean that ever critic we make of a person has to be based solely on their looks.

Particularly because it's an argument that gets so boring after a while.

You don't find someone attractive, fine, but others do, that is fine too. Since attractiveness is 100% subjective, there is no way for us to debate over it properly.

You say Iron Bull is ugly, I say his eye patch is sexy, we could go around and around like that forever.

Where as a debate on someones personality or on their actions is much more interesting because objective facts can be brought in with the subjective and there is the possibility of changing someones mind.

Yeh, I was probably just fantasizing.  I did that with my Hawke and the Arishok, too.

I know, but she still needs to finish it. Attaching the VO is going to be a challenge and there are 2 or three other cut scenes that need to be edited. I have played her alpha version and I think all the needed dialogue is there except the poem. But that is a lot of work when you are modding files instead of using a tool.

Because Tal-Vashoth are those who explicitly take up arms and fight against the Qun. It would be like a warden romancing a darkspawn, Though conceivably a Qunari might "romance" a Vashoth (someone who peacefully leaves the Qun or was never part of it to begin with).

Pretty much this. They also don't really mingle with other cultures, they don't understand these cultures, they don't want to understand them. It's "my way or highway". Which make sense because it's the only way indoctrination can be sustained. Bull is already questioning things that's why he is perfect for the job.

Seamus was ready to convert to Qun, that's entirely different situation.

It means that YOU don't.  There are people who just hook up with people based on looks, so essentially they are judging for sexual (not romantic) criteria.  Would you do away with hookup sites on the net or tell the people who use them they're shallow and shouldn't judge people on looks?

I don't feel like that's my job.  My opinion is my opinion.  I don't expect others to be me.

As far as you thinking the Iron Bull is attractive that's 100% awesome.  Glad you got what you wanted.  I think Dorian is a gay KISA, SandalistheMaker does not.  We disagree on that definition so he still hasn't gotten what he wanted and neither have I.

That's the beauty of forums.  I can also choose to be shallow about the characters on my team because they aren't real people, their feelings won't get hurt, etc.  you can care about them and take up for the Iron Bull look-wise.

Was he? I thought he was just fond of learning about it and his father was worried that everyone would think he was handing himself over to the Qun.
