Recently, I upgraded to a new laptop that can play Dragon Age. Much to my surprise, when I started the game on my laptop I was able to pick up right where I left off on my desktop. Now this is very convenient, but I worry about possible problems like corrupted or out-of-sync saves. I know this can be a real problem in other games (e.g., Skyrim), especially when using mods. So has anyone else has a problem playing on multiple PCs, or is it pretty safe?

I prefer copying and pasting the saves manually, but as far as I know sync works fine

I've done it by manually moving saves as well, worked fine. Don't exactly distrust the online functionality, just wanted to be safe. And as I moved my mod folders anyway, I could just as well throw in the saves too.

From my experience the only time it will take a save from the cloud is when you don't have a save on that particular PC or the save uploaded to Origin is newer then the one on your computer. I have been using Origin since it was first released and during that time I have played over 1000 of Mass Effect 3 and now close to 400 hours of Dragon Age: Inquisition and haven't encountered any corruption. I have had a few times where my internet connection died and it asked me which save I wanted to use for it didn't upload my current save to Origin.
The only real problem I have had is with Dragon Age: Origins and that is because the saves for that game can get very large and exceed the maximum allotted size for Origin and that has caused a few frustrations so I don't bother with syncing my saves with Dragon Age: Origins and don't even bother having the client running when I play that game.

I don't trust any cloud storage so, I sync my computers, and other devices via my thunderbolt drive (high speed external, large capacity hard drive array that can transfer data at up to 20 Gb/s)

If the save on your computer is newer, it will ask you which you want to use. From my experience the only time it will take a save from the cloud is when you don't have a save on that particular PC or the save uploaded to Origin is newer then the one on your computer.
