[WARNING: Image Heavy!]

This is my ReShade Modification for the Mass Effect Trilogy.
It's a combination of ReShade by Crosire, the MasterEffect Suite by MartyMcFly, and a Gaussian Blur shader.
Modified by me. I also added a "new Shader" that i call Starburst Shader. It mimics the radial streaks of bright light sources. If you got questions, problems or a suggestion, write me a pm or write a comment to this thread.

// Known Problems/Troubleshooting:

// Some people reported that they can't see whats going on at their screen because of their picture being too dark.

// That certain situation can be avoided by gently tweaking your Gamma ingame.

Anyway, i better let the Pictures speak and you decide if you like it or not.

Hey, it's a bit too dark IMO, hard to see what's going on. Is it intentionally this dark?

I agree that it may be dark but I bet we can still adjust our gamma in game from the default up a few ticks to correct?

Exactly, you should tweak your gamma gently to the point where you like. That should give you all the ability to see what's going on and still have the effects. Thx for pointing that it may be a little dark for some people. In the next release i will add a notice to the Readme.

Cheers :)

Well this does look amazing in ME1/ME2, unfortunately it chops my FPS from 60 down to 25. Probably because of the fact that I'm running an old 560 Ti maxed out at 1440p that just barely maintains 60 fps as it is. From my experience with SweetFX it was Gaussian blur and SMAA were the big FPS killers.

I can't get ME3 to launch at all tho with this. If I drop the package into /binaries/ it launches but reshade clearly isn't running. If I drop it into /binaries/win32 I get the reshade disclaimer confirmation but the game itself fails to launch. This is on 64 bit Windows 10.

Hey, uhm thx for that report. Unfortanley, i did not run into any problems on Windows 10 64bit, so i can only give some suggestions how you might get ME3 working. (here follows a small list)

1. Did you try to run the ME3 executable inside the win32 folder with "right click -> run as administrator" ?

2. Try to turn off the origin ingame interface for Mass Effect 3 (In origin, click on game details and there should be a checkbox somewhere around to disable origin ingame)

3. Open the ME3 config utility and disable antialiasing, as it sometimes collides with things like SweetFx, Reshade and/or ENB

So yeah these are my suggestions for solving your poblem (hopefully). For the low performance thing...i will take a look into the files and see if i can optimize something or even disable / remove unecessary shader functions. Also i`m working on an updated version on a waaaaay newer version of reshade combined with GemFx...so stay tuned for that...

Cheers B)

Still haven't got it work after trying your suggestions, even went into the nvidia control panel to make sure AA wasn't being forced. I took a look a what was going on in the task manager and it turns out that when I try to run it the ME3 process does show up for around 30s, vanishes and reappears after a moment for another 30s before finally shutting down.

Not sure if this will help but here's what's going on in the d3d9.log files reshade makes when ME2 runs successfully vs ME3 unsuccessfully.

Also an optimized version sounds awesome!

Ok thx for the error reports, i'll have a look on them and try to figure out whats going on.
The new version of my Reshade for Mass Effect is nearly finished, but i ran into problems too...Mass Effect is giving me **** and says PhysX could not be initalized...started...whatever...i guess i'll have to sort that out first :/

Cheers B)

Edit:

Fixed the Problem, uninstalled the most recent PhysX Driver for windows 10 and installed the last version before Windows 10...works perfectly now. New ReShade version of my mod will be available as Test-Version tomorrow.
