I'm starting to think this site was made for the sole purpose of providing an outlet for people to complain and vent about the problems they are experiencing. A way for the fans to feel like they're doing something, but in reality, it's nothing of the sort.

"Does bioware read these posts?"

Rarely. Mods do but that is of no significance. Nevertheless this is a forum and forums are meant for all kind of talk within the boundries of the 'agreement rules'.

I don't play by the rules, I'm a habitual rule breaker.

(to Monster20862) It is, in my opinion, most likely that the forums are first and foremost for fans to communicate with one another but also for Bioware to gather feedback on their games through certain personnel who reads the different forum sections and their threads and then reports it back to the developers.

From what I gathered, a developer presence was more felt back in the days because the developers posted more often than they do now but I am certain that they still read as we have had developers posting in threads. It just mostly related to lore and character threads it seems because in those they need worry less about things. Also, it would not make much sense for a writer developer to pitch in about a technical aspect unless it pertains to how it affects immersion or conveys a story.

Summation and answer to the titular question: More than likely they do, yes.

Experience tells us (or at least me) that developers spend more time reading forums than people think, and certainly a lot more time reading than posting. Most companies tend to go to great lengths to find out what people like and dislike about their products.

However, developers reading posts translating into actual changes inside the game anytime soon is a completely different matter.

The devs do come in and comment once in a while, so I'm sure they're quite often lurking about. ^_^
