Tough ask. Good is as subjective as evil, as subjective as hero and villain. But from where I'm at,

 

Be optimistic. Be open to new ideas and thought processes. Be open minded. Be bright, be caring, be thoughtful, be mindful, be ready to understand, to misunderstand, to learn and practice, to succeed and fail, to try and try again and aim for the happiness and joy of everyone, equally in a good place.

 

Aim to be the best you that you can be for yourself, those closest to you, and the people of the world.

 

Be happy with yourself, work on your flaws, help others with theirs, and work towards the betterment of everyone and everything, starting with yourself. Whether its a micro-action or macro-action, the potential and opportunity to be good exists at all times.

 

So recognize the potential, understand the opportunity, and take it.

Basically, yes. Too many people fail to be good when they're aiming to be. Some spend so much time helping others they spend no time on themselves, eventually burning out into cinders. Others spend so much time on themselves they end up ignoring everything else and come across as selfish.

 

You've got to have a balance, but a good way to start is inwardly. You have to be able to be happy.

 

See, emotions are like a virus. They pass from person to person. Not all the time, but they do. You might catch it, you might not, but its there.

 

Think about laughter. When you're laughing and someone sees you laughing, they're inclined to start laughing as well. Not always, but they do.

 

Think about happiness. When someone's on a morning jog and they smile at you and say, "Good morning!" you're inclined to respond in kind.

 

That goes for both positive AND negative emotions. Anger, rage, sadness;the same viral effect works with them because humanity is a naturally social race. We interlink via our feelings.

 

So do what you can to make sure the virus you're passing is a positive one. Too many actively aim to cause grief and pain towards others, either because the pain of others makes them happy, or they don't have a care in the world.
