I've really fallen out of love with Pistols. With a mountain of Pistol Rail Amps III. So I'm interested in what setups others here use it on.
One example I recall being good is the Paladin with Drill Ammo/EB/Mag on the QME.

I love the Paladin.
My favourite way to use it is on the Destroyer. Yup, big guy in powersuit running around with a hand-gun. I put a heavy barrel and ammo capacity on my pistol, and use AP Ammo unless I know for a fact it won't be Cerberus.
Occasionally I use the Predator on him just to mess with people.
Since I've been running low on SMG Amps, I've been running the Paladin on some of my caster-classes. I put a poweramp and probably the extended barrel or whatever it's called on them, and still bring AP ammo in case of Guardians.
The Talon is also a fun gun.
The Scorpion should be renamed The Anti-Phantomer.
Acolyte w/ Incendiary works on a few kits that can detonate.
Phalanx makes a lightweight long-range sidearm if you're using a short range weapon.
Talon as mentioned. One other thing about it, if you're in hard cover the bullet-spread is tight. Can make head shots at long range. Makes it viable at long range, so long as you know when to duck out of hard cover and switch to soft-RHA.
Destroyer w/Execution, if built right you get a double shot executioner. This is something that I never really enjoyed but have heard does alright.
Arc Pistol. I put it on a few kits but I've really enjoyed it on the Tsent.
When it comes to pistols, it's always either Talon or Paladin for me. I usually use them on my adepts, especially with something that can use Statis. Oh, and I like to slap on some Pistol Amps III ![]()

Paladin with Heavy Barrel and Piercing Mod on the SI or QFI is fun.
Executioner with same mods on the DAI is also fun.
Also, Scorpion on SE. For lore. And stagger.
I put an acolyte on every single character. It's been time since I've used any other pistols.
OP you should use acolyte moar too.
What I use.
Eagle
Drell adept, phoenix adept, phoenix vanguard (power magnifier + heavy barrel + warp ammo)
Turian and quarian soldier (extended mag + heavy barrel + AP/drill ammo)
Paladin
Cabal vanguard (HB + PM + inc. ammo)
Asari adept (HB + EM + AP/drill)
Destroyer (HB+EM+AP/drill)
Executioner
Vorcha hunter and human soldier (HB+PM+disruptor) - reload hide with inc or sub net, and CS respectively
Destroyer (HB+EM+AP/drill) - double shot executioner is pretty fun
Acolyte
Justicar (PM+EM+warp/cryo ammo) - I use a build that is centered around pull and acolyte is the best weapon for synergy purposes
Scorpion
Salarian engineer (HB+PM+disruptor) - lore purposes, also good primer and endless stagger
Suppressor
Drell assassin (EM+cranial mod+AP/drill) - RM to debuff and slow enemies is helpful for headshots
TSent (EM+cranial mod+AP/drill) - overload - headshot
These characters have 30% HS bonuses and suppressor is a good fit
Carnifex
Sometimes, I use it on AA instead of paladin. Mods and ammo are the same.
Arc Pistol
I don't use it much outside of solos. This gun is an absolute beast - the best gun in the game. EM/PM+HB+AP/drill on any character and bulldoze your way through enemies.
I intentionally left out phalanx, predator and talon because I never use the first two and very rarely use the third.
Talon is very much like arc pistol, slightly lower in the OP list but just like the arc, works on every character.
Pretty much heavy barrel always then a choice between power amp, clip, or piercing mod.
Executioner is higher enough damage per shot that piercing mod isn't that important.
Everything else is pretty situational. IE if you're using warp ammo and have an armor weakening power like warp, piercing mod would be kind of irrelevant.
Choice would be highly dependent on your primary killing source whether it be weapon fire or power spam.
The Scorpion is always good for a laugh. And screen shakez. I often use it with Human Engie for stunlock parties.
GI- Talon- Heavy Barrel, Clip, AP IV or drill if you're running low on AP
Human Sentinel- Scorpion- Heavy Barrel, Clip, Incendiary- Because I like explosion with my explosions and **** being flung 50 meters across the board by a BE then exploding with scorpion rounds makes me laugh my ass off. Carry a Hurricane or CSMG for elites like atlases, Banshees, Crabs.
FQI-Supressor- Cranial ****** mod, Clip, AP IV. Carry a light secondary for bosses shoot everything else in the face until dead, a lot of good kits with this pistol which is underused but the FQI makes headshotting easier to start with.
Turian Soldier-Eagle-Heavy Barrel, Clip, AP IV. Also works pretty well on the Turian Sentinel with Warp Rounds as well.
All- Arc Pistol
Human Soldier- Executioner. Heavy Barrel, Power Amp, Disruptor IV. 26656 (yeah I know theres a fuggy point evolution missing, you want it that way for more free reloads) Claymore Hybrid Build wo the Claymore (
)
Slayer- Acolyte- Heavy Barrel, Power Amp, Disruptor. You shouldn't need anything other than the acolyte with charge and PD.
Salarian Infilitrator-Paladin-Heavy Barrel, Clip, AP IV. Shoot everything in the face after ED. PM bosses, shoot until dead. Another underrated pistol IMHO.
Asari Adept- Carnifex- Heavy Barrel, Clip, Warp IV. More for nostalgia than efficiency, it was once one of the most powerful combinations in the game.
Airlock- Predator and Phalanx. Seriously life is too short to use those pieces of ****.
Every pistol and the Quarian Marksman kit.
Every quarian kit and the Arc Pistol pistol.
Usually heavy barrel+ clip+ AP ammo. Grenade kits replace clip with power amp. Eagle, Suppressor and sometimes Arc Pistol replaces heavy barrel with Cranial Trauma, and QFE gets Incendiary or Disruptor ammo and piercing.

Meh I like shotguns on the Marksman. Although the Talon with Drill rounds can wreck some ****** face on the guy. Kind of squishy but who gives a damn when you can blow the other guy's head off through a wall before he shoots at you.

I like everything on the Quarian Marksman Including myself
I also don't find him squishy.....in any sense of the word.
Try this: Human Engineer with Executioner
You can one-shot any health-based Gold mook (including Phantoms) with a body shot with this setup. Overload will completely drop their shields, and they're an easy kill as soon as that happens. Just methodically progress from mook to mook, Overload-dead-Overload-dead, etc.
This build is optimized for U/U/G, because it gives you enough Overload damage to one-shot Hunters. If you know you won't be fighting Geth, you can take cut down on your Power Damage a little and put points elsewhere, because Overload will do more damage to organic shields/barriers. Geth Scanner is a personal favorite, as long as I'm using Drill Ammo.
For Platinum, you'll probably want to use AP or maybe Warp ammo, and you will probably want to drop Chain Overload if you still want to be able to one-shot Hunters.
Arc Pistol or Talon. [/thread]
Joking aside, I like Arc Pistol with Drill or Armor Piercing ammo so I can do wallhax.
Talon is excellent at applying ammo effects, so Incendiary or Disruptor. Also Talon bypasses shieldgate (well, the first pellet is affected by shieldgate, then the other pellets are not, just like a shotgun).
Acolyte as a sidearm on everyone, for dealing with Phantoms. Scorpion is the alternative, but it's much heavier and obviously doesn't have that sexy 500% bonus damage to shields/barriers.
Side note that if you're going to use the Acolyte (or Scorpion) as a sidearm, don't use Ultralight Materials or it will cancel out the weight glitch on your main gun.
Executioner Pistol is a good fit on the Quarian Female Engineer (I think someone mentioned this already) because its rhythm fits well with her power cycling. I also like Executioner Pistol on the Krogan Soldier.
Paladin (or Carnifex) with AP ammo on the Asari Adept with Stasis Bubble is headshotting fun. Try it against Cerberus on Gold and you will be laughing in delight as you trivialize their entire faction. Stasis Bubble + Headshot everything you can, and use Warp to stagger Dragoons for a headshot, and Warp/Throw explosions on the Atlases.
Eagle on the Turian Soldier is good fun. Basically you only need Marksman, but you may as well fire off some Proximity Mines now and then to help the team.
I never use the Suppressor because I suck at headshots, and the Phalanx and Predator just feel too wimpy compared to other pistols.
I hated the Eagle way back in the day, now I love it ![]()
Talon is so good, I feel dirty using it. Arc pistol is just as good, but I get bored, charging it every time.
Paladin is nice and quite balanced.
I try not to use Acolyte too much, because it just trivializes the game.

Um..we're still talking about me3 mp right?
On topic;acolyte ftw!
Volus Protector Vanguard (melee specced) + BatGauntlet + Talon + AP + Melee Stunner + Incendiary rounds.
