I know it sucks for some, but I don't quite get how it's so severe as crashes etc.
Except vor Varric who gets showered in Amulets of Power in his wartable quest chain, I found maybe 1 or 2 for each other character.
On the other hand, I'm a hypocrite because I kinda like the respeccing amulets... though I'm also sure I'd have less doubts about my choices if those weren't there as well.

There are still some amulets (amulets from the war table or given as direct quest rewards are unaffected). It's only nearly all of the amulets that could previously be collected as loot that are missing now.Come on. This is ridiculous. From infinite amulets to zero amulets. The community should be outraged. Cant they fix this one issue properly. I liv this game. And finding power amulets is one of my favorite perks. Especially after killing a dragon. Come on EA. We deserve better.
That's still a lot of amulets, though (and most of them are ones that couldn't be exploited). All of Dorian's are missing, Cassandra's in Therinfal is gone, Varric's in Valammar is gone, no dragons drop amulets anymore, Cole's in Emprise du Lion is gone, Vivienne's is gone from the Winter Palace, the player amulet from the Fade is gone (despite being called out by the text), Solas' is gone from the temple, and I'm sure more of them are missing as well.
Hopefully they'll fix this by the next patch, or at least clarify the intended behavior (it's possible they moved the amulets, but nobody has really been finding any new ones yet).

Bioware will probably remove everything sooner or later.
Metals, cloth, herbs, essences, War table rewards, schematics... etc.
Just to satisfy their sadistic tendencies.

Regardless of what people think about whether they're useful, what really gets under my skin is that since they removed them, you cannot complete a quest in the fade (Broken Window?). That is inexcusable, and it makes me not want to play through Adamant until they fix it, since you can't return. I know I'm not the only completionist on these forums who will be perpetually irked if they don't finish a quest. They need to fix it for that alone. There were enough broken quests without them adding more...

This is a minor issue for me, yes it is a patch induced bug but these things happen it has almost zero impact on the game.

Wow, I've been really supportive to my friends about this anti-glitch process that BioWare has been shoving into the patches, but this one went too far. If you can't stop a glitch without taking away intended perks, then just leave the glitch in. This is really messed up. Sorry I just can't support this one.

1. They get rid of it
2. The break something else
3. They break the broken thing even more
Really, it'd just be best to wait and see if someone makes an unofficial patch.

Only three things happen when Bioware tries to fix something:
1. They get rid of it
2. The break something else
3. They break the broken thing even more
Really, it'd just be best to wait and see if someone makes an unofficial patch.
Unofficial patches are not an option for the majority of the people who play the game.

There is an unofficial patch for this particular issue: Amulet of Power Fix Unfixed.

Huh? Yeah, no you guys are just boned. This is why you buy RPGs for PC. Best decision I ever made. Sucks to be you guys, though.

The community should be outraged
Please show me the part of the EULA that guarantees that players will be able to obtain at least X amulets of power, or stop whining - you signed a Eula without reading it, and don't like what you signed. Learn from it before you buy a house.

It should, but since Udina killed the "this is an outrage" meme, we can't. ![]()

Honestly I didn't see the need to try and fix this glitch in the first place. If you wanted to use the loot exploit then you could use it and it didn't hurt anyone (it's not like the added skill points change anything challenge wise either). If you didn't want to use it, just loot as intended and move on legitly. There are/were more important things that needed addressing instead of fixing glitches and exploits that don't really affect anything. Like fixing the 12th hinterlands mosaic piece, other possible quest/agent bugs or focusing on fixing crashes.
All this latest "fix" did was fix a glitch I never used and is now delaying my latest completionist playthrough, because people thought it was somehow important to address and Bioware listened and messed it up. ![]()

OMG. This. I cannot finish my completionist playthrough because of this stupid 12th mosaic piece.

99 little bugs in the code,
99 bugs in the code,
You take one out, throw fixes around...
115 little bugs in the code =D
If you're having patch problems, I feel bad you son. I got ninety-nine fixes, amulets ain't one.
