Oh Jack. She has so much cutscene swag but is utterly useless unless you are playing the babby difficulties where no one has shields or armor.
Also manages to make me consider Miranda's mindless Cerberus propaganda to be palatable in comparison to her whinging. Still, she actually gets much better in the 3rd game, unlike most of the other ME2 characters who become terrible.

If you want squad incendiary why would you ever take Jacob when Grunt exists with his Claymoar?
Yeah I was talking about early game but yes as you said grunt is pretty much better in all ways.

The only squadmate who is arguably worse is Jack, but she has Warp Ammo, which is much better.
Incendiary ammo is mostly irrelevant because Grunt has it, and Grunt >>>>>>> Jacob.
Don't forget Jacobs loyalty ability! Oh boy, its BARRIER! WHY.
Who thought that was a good idea? I mean, its a useful pick up as a extra ability on some classes, but almost USELESS on Jacob.

I know right especially that scene in the purgatory where she pretty much blew through two YMIR mechs and almost blew up the ship by herself. First game out with her she dies to a husk! Biovar pls.

Who, Jack or Miranda?
Jack. I find her much more likeable in 3 compared to 2
Miranda is awful in ME3. Totally Flanderized. Why the hell are you STILL running after your irrelevant sister for 3/4 of the game when there's a goddamn apocalypse going on?

Miranda should have gotten her own DLC in ME3, where you look for her but she's too busy looking for her sis.
Call it "****** hunt."

Honestly, her 'good side' (being the whole Oriana thing) makes me hate her even more than beforehand
No ****.
Someone is shooting this Niket sonuvabitch at the end of her loyality mission. I can't listen to all that whiny bitching without blood being spilled.

Yeah, I thought Jack was good in ME 3, mostly because 'hey look! She got over her problems and is now a person!'

I use people on my team depending on the banter/dialogue I want to hear in cutscenes etc, not for their abilities. In the end I solo'ed ME 1-3 anyway. ![]()

Oh yeah, Squadmate abilities are pretty irrelevant because the game's EZ to just shitstomp unless you're doing a hipster build.

ME3's difficulty was a joke.
I thought we were talking about ME2, as that's the only game you can bring Miranda or Jacob on missions in :')

They were all a joke except early ME1 insanity with a non biotic, no immunity build. ME3 was just the biggest joke because the power combos are retarded OP and the enemies are 90% trash mooks

God. Immunity was the most ridiculous thing ever. I just finished a ME1 playthrough as a soldier (I never really play that class) and decided to try to make the most unkillable person ever, focussing on damage resist and health regen, getting to the point where nothing would hurt me fast enough, as my HP would instantly come back in regen.
I really liked the first Mass Effects RPG aspect.

The biggest downgrade from ME2 to ME3 was the loss of combat banter.
I loved the party banter in ME2.
"Thought I was harmless, did you?"
"Scoped and dropped!"
"Never saw me comin'!"
"Flammable! Or is that inflammable? Forget which; doesn't matter!"
"Hello dead people!"
"Go for the optics Chatikka! Go for the optics!"
"Want some more?"
"YEAH! Right on your ass!"
"AMONKIRA REVEALS THEM!!!!!!"

The banter was fantastic in the first two games . Really gave the characters a unique attitude and identity during gameplay, as opposed to ME3 where I can't actually tell if it's Ashley or Garrus who just turned that Fantum's head into watermelon

Agreed on ME2. But there was banter in ME1? Outside of location-triggered comments and the occasional "I'm ok I'm ok!" I can't remember anything.

If there was it must have been lost between "Enemies everywhere!" and "I will destroy you!".

Scoped and dropped was my favourite line other than grunt laughing like a maniac when charging through enemies. I also noticed Garrus saying "I love this rifle" a lot when he was using the incisor rifle!

I loved Morinth.... because she's f****** Morinth!
Also, bringing Tali and Legion together was hilarious in the trial mission....
I liked bringing together people that clashed a lot in personalities, even though much of the time, they were the same class...
I just wish Morinth was more complete

Sorry man, that thread's been closed in like, forever. But you'd definitely get a spot if I were to do it now! ![]()

QFMFT. I absolutely feel exactly like this. "Scoped and dropped" never failed to put a smile on my face. Hearing Grunt laugh like a maniac put an evil grin there XD

Another great Garrus line is when his power fails and he just screams "Well that did nothing!"
I swear, half of Garrus being a fan favorite is Brandon Keener making him sound so danged affable, even in the middle of a vicious gunfight.

Agreed! Voice acting for Garrus is just over 9000 gud.
The other half is the writers of his lines being goddamned geniuses.
