Agreed on ME2. But there was banter in ME1? Outside of location-triggered comments and the occasional "I'm ok I'm ok!" I can't remember anything.
It was mostly at the beginning and end of fights. You'd get the the generic "hostiles spotted" or "negative contacts, commander" from most of them but some unique ones that immediately jump out were Tali's "Now it gets fun!" or Wrex's "Dead & done.....just the way I like 'em".

As if the thread was ever intended to be on any sort of rails in the first place. Just bumping for quarian glory until some other poor soul (or robot) tries to challenge my infallible logic.
Imagine ME2 Praetorians in ME3. Clutching a wave and two are left and just keep alternating between laser spamming and barrier recharging.
Especially bad for PS3ers. You'd never be able to get past w3 out before they crashed the game.
