Thatshit rustled my jimmies so hard. If he was going to die, he deserved to die like a badass on camera, not in a blaze of email. All we got instead is a gun that, while amazing doesn't even fire rockets and isn't named Vera.

It was initially going to be even worse. There was a cut sidemission on the Citadel post Rannoch where if you picked the quarians (and you did unless you're retarded), you then have to arrest or shoot Xen for some "illegal" AI research she is doing or some robot hugging hippie stupidshit.

I'd have burned down biower headquarters and intentionally picked the refuse ending.

The Refuse ending is the second best choice, actually. I mean, Shephard dies anyway and who actually cares about humanity in ME3?

I always brokered peace between the Quarians and the Geth. Logical choice. If you destroy the Geth, the Quarians will build synthetic servants again anyway... so just keep the ones they already have.

Same. I never kill the Quarians or the Geth, always make peace between them. Prove the Reapers wrong, show that organics and synthetics can live together in harmony!

Yep, which makes the Synthesis Ending completely obsolete. Not to mention it's total nonsense technobabble.

Only scrubs let him die. Seriously, the dude was injured after holding off the Geth for so long, why the hell would anyone send him back into battle?... Whatever you think about Quarians, that suit rat was awesome and should have been an optional crew member.  B)

The Destroy ending is a bit of a problem if peace is brokered, as it destroys all Geth in the galaxy anyway. So I'm usually stuck with the Control ending if I don't want to kill off all the Geth...

Bah, don't worry about it. The way they write, she'd just fall through an Eluvian and appear in the next game.

not in this game. They were seriously trying hard to sell the "robots are people too" nonsense and bash you with the feels stick if you disagreed, and I wouldn't have put some character assassination crap like that past them. Yeah, the Shepard I'm playing just declared the geth aren't people and summarily scrapped or recruited them with the intention of destroying them at the end, but now (s)he is going to get railroaded into all butthurt at someone who is like minded because you wish to bludgeon me with ham-fisted social commentary that was already reduced to a dead horse by Star Trek's Data episodes.

Still, the axed Xen mission had some brilliant dialouge. I'll try to find it.

Isn't that the case every time Xen is involved? I think she's just brilliant. Really like that character.

I always send him back into battle, because asking a man like that to hide like a coward is an insult to his honor. He survives anyway even if you let him fight, provided you shitstomp the colossus within a couple of minutes, which everyone here should be able to do because lolSP. He provides some great one liners if you do so as well.

But yeah, if you're bad you should probably just take the paragon option so he doesn't die. The fact that you can't recruit him and leave Jacob or someother non-squadmate to die in his place is just a travesty.

I watched the whole series of chuck on netflix at work because of boredom. Adam Baldwin was undoubtedly the best part

The Control ending is the best option all things considered. Most benefit for the cost of one (already fading) life. The Reapers are the storage for the lost knowledge of all previous cycles, imagine what you could do with that. Also, it's the ending which allows galactic civilisation to survive longterm because they can rebuild the relay network within one generation.

Well, Claudia Black is awesome. :)

Oh yeah, I forgot that you could actually do that. Tbh, it's been so long since I played ME2 that I don't even remember what I told him to do, but he did survive. It would have been pointless to let him die and I'm pretty sure I chose the renegade option, so... Also, there should have been an option to leave Jacob on that random planet you find his dad on. Hell, even Veetor would have made a better squadmate.

what the hell do you mean by "even Veetor"? Dude's got skill. He hacked his coalesced to give his AI Hacking/Sabotage power an infinite duration on YMIR mechs. So what if he's a little unstable, that didn't stop us from getting Jack via instigating a goddamn prison riot.

Yeah, how come she's nowhere near as effective after you recruit her? She busts out of cryo, wrecks several YMIR mechs effortlessly, and goes on an unstoppable rampage through the whole prison station... After you recruit her, she usually dies to a single trooper-type enemy when left on her own...

You can make Jack work okay, but you have to bring a team that has area incinerate/overload/energy drain and it isn't worth the effort. She also has a shotgun and thus derp AI, but unlike the other 3 shotgun equipped squadmates she isn't functionally invincible with energy drain(Tali)/ fortification(Grunt)/ barrier(Jacob but lol noone uses him).

I imagine she works much better if you play below insanity where noone has shields or armor, and can probably just ragdoll everything through walls with shockwave.

I broker peace between the Geth and the Quarians. It saves Quarian lives.

I then kill the Geth with destroy, because destroy is the only logical option.

The only reason I sometimes re-play ME3 SP is the Citadel DLC... I still play ME2 rather frequently, I find ME2 SP far more enjoyable than ME3 SP. The story was better too.

Why in the blue hell would you make Kal'Reegar cower in a corner during that battle? Even if you're bad and can't steamroll the geth, at least let the man go out with a bang.

Yeah I love ME 1 a lot too but the combat and inventory is so bad.
