I feel that the Venatori/Red Templars need more closure

Just finished my first playthrough and my only question is 'What happened to the Venatori?'. They seemed like a pretty big deal, which I guess they are assuming you choose to go with Templars. I feel that Calpernia (who I didnt even know about until reading up on some of the alternative options) and the Venatori should have at least had some kind of involvement, even if Red Templars are the main force of Corypheus instead of you know, just sort of fading.

Thoughts?

I imagine they might get more closure in dlc. It's quite possible one of Cory's lieutenants might try something.

There an extremist cult from Tevinter - they're probably licking their wounds. They're still around and probably greatly supported in Tevinter.

The Ventori are a cult around Cory and now that he's gone they will probably fracture and it's members will likely retreat to Tevinter. We can assume the inquisitions troops and spies would be cleaning up what's left without really going into it in depth.

It dose feel like they need to address the massive quantities of red lyruim now growing around the place. How on earth are we disposing of all that when even being around it is dangerous?

The Red Templars get plenty with Samson gone and their Deep Road supplies cut off, they're pretty much done but Venatori on the otherhand feel much bigger than they let themselves off to be originally. If you kept your deal with the Ben-Hassrath you see they have basicially infiltrated every major power outside of the Qunari who are hunting down their spy network

With Calpernia's open ended "demise", I wouldn't be surpised if they show again much more prominently

I think the implication is that most of them die in the Arbor Wilds. Those few that survive probably just scatter, I suppose some Venatori might return to Tevinter, if they're allowed. Every one else will be hunted down by the Inquisition.

The Venatori will retreat from southern Thedas and play a pivotal role in Tevinter, I'm sure. Helping Corypheus ascend to godhood wasn't the focal point of the Venatori's purpose, restoring the Tevinter Imperium to glory was with Calpernia leading them. It looks to be a certainty that we will be seeing more of the Venatori and Calpernia.

You can also use Lady Flourine (sp?) as an agent to ferret out even MORE of the Venatori spy network.

With Calpernia as the venatori leader, they would probably return to Tevinter. So they will no longer be an immediate threat in Southern thedas.

And the inquisition soldiers cannot remove the red lyrium Meredith statue in Kirkwall. I doubt they can remove big red lyrium pieces in emprise du lion.

The last mission to beat Coryface is meant to be the last mission, sure their is end game content but for left overs and it would be good to mention that.

What they should have done was make the last mission more than just fight Coryface. Make it so you and your team had to push through the last remnants of Cory's loyal men before facing him, including some in the fight with him too, you could even convince (with the right words or people) higher generals to stand down or even join you. With just Cory and his Dragon to fight in the last mission it felt lacking.

I would love to know what happened to Calpernia if you let her go to confront Cory, myself. Future DLC or DA4 content, I'm guessing?

As for red lyrium, there's one Tranquil in... Emprise, I believe? who mentions to another NPC that actually cleansing the area of red lyrium, even if they managed to remove or destroy all they see of it, is basically impossible long term. Which has some pretty horrifying implications. xD

Especially if, like me, you were overlevelled due to completing side quests. Whole battle felt way too easy. The ending was good, but only because of the gigantic twist at the end I feel.

If you mean closure as in the closing of their many coffin lids, then sure.

They should continue experiments in red lyrium, which unintentionally call the darkspawn to the Tevinter Imperium. Before they realize what's happening the country is invaded and they must call upon the aide of Weissaupt before the horde reaches the capital.

Crap.  I could see what's left of both the Venatori and the Red Templars allying with the Wardens to come up with something awful.  We've already seen one Tevinter mage pull the wool over the Wardens' eyes, and I don't think it was all due to Cory's influence.  He knew where to hit the Wardens where it hurt the most, using the Nightmare and Cory's magic as well as his own cleverly chosen words.  If the Architect is alive, he's likely to be involved.  If not, I could see one of the darkspawn he "awakened" getting involved.  It won't be another ancient magister, but a different set of darkspawn troubles.

The Wardens want to stop the Blights at any cost, and the last time an Awakened darkspawn got involved, the Fifth Blight happened.  It was a magister yes, but he wasn't nearly the powerhouse that Cory was.  He was just very smart, and was creative as well as articulate.  A pretty dangerous combination, and who knows if there is some Awakened darkspawn out there that thought that the Architect had the right idea.  The Wardens have been proven to be very vulnerable through the duty and desire to end all Blights.

No doubt in my mind.  We'll end up in the Anderfels and in the Deep Roads soon enough.   Why?  To make sure all three groups don't kick start another Blight too soon in the series.

I am more concerned if the Inquisition is going to treat or help some of the red templars. If you leave any left unattended you going to have a problem they transform and lose control. They either gotta wipe them out or contain them and find a cure.

I, personally, would be thrilled if we could root out the remaining Venatori and red templars. I'd be all over that DLC.

Plus, an excuse to maybe open up a tiny bit of Tevinter as a prelude to the next game pleasepleaseplease Maevaris is one of my favourite characters in the lore.

I'm not concerned about the Venatori or Red Templars.

I'm much more worried about what they represent, or perhaps herald the beginning of.
