I don't know about you guys, but I am super excited for MP DLC whenever that may be.
I remember back in ME3, working on getting all those characters, playing as them and using their awesome new powers was the bee's knees.

We know that the team working on DA:I's multiplayer has something similar in mind. Do you have any great ideas you feel needs sharing?

Well. I've been downright fantasising at a few far-fetched classes, powers and maybe even new weapon types. If the DLC characters end up being as diverse as they were in Mass Effect, then maybe this isn't too far from possible. Here we go.

Dragoon
A combination between rogue and warrior classes.
The Dragoon would utilise an entirely new weapon set. Spears and lances.
His play style will involve a mixture of ranged and close combat, with each of his power trees specialising one or the other.
Dragoons will probably have a close connection to reavers, so I can see them sharing some traits.

Unique powers
Bolt Lance: The Dragoon hurls his lance at the target, then teleports to it. Similar use to Mass Effect's 'Biotic charge'.
Bolt Lance upgrade: Penetrates through enemies in front of the target for double damage.

Bounce: An evasive move. The Dragoon jumps backwards, similar height to 'leaping shot' but with no offensive property.
Bounce upgrade: Ability to use certain powers at the peak of the jump.

Cutting Wing: The Dragoon slashes the air in front of him sending out a short range wave causing an immediate rupture to the target.
Cutting Wing upgrade: Extends rupture's duration. Panics surrounding enemies

Dragon's Wrath: Area of effect attack. The Dragoon slams his lance into the ground causing an eruption around him.
Dragon' Wrath upgrade: Increased range and duration.

Now. Dragoon is the only one I thought hard enough about to think about powers, but a couple of others would be:
Breaker
Combination of warrior and mage. Not unlike the arcane warrior, but with higher mobility.
Only uses one handed sword. No shield. Off hand utilised in power animations etc.
Play style focused on close range high single target damage.

Sentinel
Combination of mage and rogue. What's cooler than magic arrows?
Standard bows, perhaps with unique ethereal arrows. No quiver required.
Focused on long range single target damage, small elements of crowd control.
Ability to place traps from a distance.

What ideas do you have on new multiplayer classes? Do you have some suggestions/criticisms of mine?
Get posting.

Any class that focuses on single targets isn't a very satisfying class to play. Most Necromancers I see focus on Frost abilities instead of Necro, and I'm doing the same.

Archer can be excused because of one-shots. Assassin is so-so. Hunter and Alchemist are prefered because of the elemental traps that do AoE.

What really sucks is the fact that Cassandra essentially tells you that as a Seeker she can do the Blood wound ability to any being with lyrium in their blood, yet we don't get to use it at all. THAT would have been a cool ability to have (and another way to differentiate her Seeker from your Templar ability).

Pray to the Maker that character with that ability will be available one day ;)

Breaker and Dragoon sound rockin'. I'd definitely be up for those two. Sentinel's magic archer schtick is pretty neato too, I'm just not much of an archer guy - but he/she sounds fun to have on a team.
