I keep reading people like how the Daish Inquisitor fits into the storyline (without divulging into spoilers). I want to play a male Dalish Mage, except I am lacking inspiration to create a personality for him. Can I be given some ideas?

Here are some ideas to be the most satisfied with your character:

 

-He is mostly neutral but on the good/friendly side

-Not racist at all or proud of his own race

-Helpful and willing to do menial tasks for whoever he meets

-Doesn't really care about having camaraderie with others of his own race

-Has no strong opinions

Since I dislike the elf models so much I had an idea about a human noble who ended up lost in the woods as a child, adopted by a clan of dalish elves and raised as one of them, eventually ending up as First due to his talent with magic. In terms of mechanics he would look like a human with a vallaslin but be treated as an elf by the game.

 

This character would have memories of his noble human childhood but now identify with the elves. He'd also feel a sense of personal guilt over the way the elves are and have been treated, and as a result be kind of "more elven than elven" in his distrust/dislike for humans and protection of other elves - he'd also of course easily take offense and maybe be somewhat volatile with humans who considered him a traitor, felt that he had been brainwashed by the dalish and so on.

As editing hasn't yet progressed far enough to allow this though (vallaslins are doable, but not race editing), the plan is on hold.

As the First of the Lavellan clan,you should probably look into preserving Elvhen culture by any means necessary and yet showing wisdom and leadership qualities (they would be instrumental in a Keeper). The Dalish are usually very proud people, so you should remember that. Clans don't usually like dealing with humans, but the Lavellans were different.
