upon saving my game and booting up the next day the option to romance josephine has vanished. Any reason why that happened?

How do you mean? What was the last flirt dialogue you had? Have you done any of her quests...? Been a while since I romanced her, but you don't get a flirt option every conversation.

Are you using a female inquisitor?  Did you get ninjamanced by Blackwall?  If you flirted with him on the battlements at Skyhold you are officially locked in with him which is kind of a jerk move by Bioware, IMHO.  All your other options go away!  You have to break up with a guy you were not aware you were in a relationship with.  If you are not to that point yet, playing a male, or did not flirt with Blackwall, its possible you have exhausted your conversational options until you do another main quest to progress your options..

yah i was a female inquisitor, my option to romance her was gone however cullen was still available so i just went cullen in the end, Kinda annoyed about it though.
