For those who aren't, or believe they aren't how often does it happen for you? Bioware saying it's fixed so it "isn't so random" is very conveniently vague.

 

Help?

Before they "fixed" it, my banters occurred more randomly; sometimes 3 banters in 10 minutes, sometimes it's once in 30 minutes.

 

After they fixed it, my banter was around once in 10-20 minutes.

 

I've heard that there's a mod that actually fixes it. If you play on PC, you might want to take a look at it.

Hey, they fixed it. For me at least. I mean nothing at all isn't so random, right?

I am playing on PS3 and I rarely have banter, about once every 20 minutes or so also.

PS4. Once every 10-15 mins or so. As long as I don't fast travel, use a mount, or duck into a dungeon (Valammar). The timer seems to reset if you do that.

I find banter seems more likely to trigger after dismounting, when the party reappears.

Is anyone else getting absolutely no banter at all in the the Western Approach? I could spend hours there with nothing. I use the Cheat Engine banter trigger to trigger banter when I want it in all other areas, but it doesn't even work there. There must be something broken. This only happened after the most recent patch. I've always had sparse banter but not nothing at all.

 

I'm having the same problem!

I get almost no banter without using cheat engine but the Western Approach doesn't even work with that, but I had that happening before the most recent patch as well.

I've given up on hope for banter. So, I listen to music to fill the lack of any talking.

I'm getting location-specific and quest-specific banter, and rarely just random banter, but I can't tell you how many times I've heard Varric and Dorian betting on our chances of success... Even after we've succeeded!

Hmm, interesting. I never use mounts because I'm scared I'll miss out on the very rare banter I do get. I'll try this and see if it works.

I guess I still have the bug since I don't have much banter. Not even close to 15 minutes some have here, I think I have more like one banter in 1 to 2 hours. On PS3 so no mods for me.
