To the death is not a taunt, so its not affected by war cry/challenge. However I'm not sure if it cancels if Blackwall also uses it.

Correct. To the death is a taunt. How threat works exactly I don't know. I don't ever run 2 warriors. I'm guessing the logical function would either be:
A. The most recent taunt takes over
or
B. The person warrior taunting who is doing the most damage keeps threat
