way they were designed in terms of appearance or in terms of art assets. To state it simply the armor is a single piece."
lol this is funny. Obviously, they were designed incorrectly, then. I wonder what kind of groupthink led to this decision... or if it was one otherwise brilliant person making a stupid decision.
It reminds me of an architect leaving bathrooms out of a house design because it upsets some subtle angle he was trying to achieve.

I don't think they'll do anything to fix this. The only armors that make you wear a helmet are already paid for and done with. The only thing we can hope for is that anything in the future will have the helmet removable in the config screen. Maybe we'll get more visors and whatnot in future DLC.
True about the only armors that make you wear a helmet are the pre-order ones and the Collector's one, but even if you wear normal armor and you actually want to use a helmet, like for combat and stat reason, then you still stuck with the same problem of wearing your helmet during conversations. I still think the best solution is for Bioware to have created a 'helmet take off' animation, or just make the helmet come off and attach to a suitable area on the suit or something just for conversations

Ok.... I guess it's perfectly acceptable to me.

Won't be good enough. Shepard is pretty common.
It needs to be something a little larger, like "Shepard. Yes, THAT Shepard. The one that saved your rears."
That might be too large. Maybe Garrus can hold it and follow us around.
I would pay some Microsoft Points to see that lol!

Let me resume to make sure :
- DLC (bonus) armors are one piece. No customization.
- Normal armors are customizable
So, while using normal armors already in the game :
- At a gear station, you can select different armor pieces for different part of your body.
- If you equip a helmet, you're stuck with it in cutscenes and dialogues because there is no equip/unequip helmet like in Mass Effect 1?
Let me say that if this is all true I'm kind of disapointed.
The DLC armor with no option to remove the helmet, even at a gear station is a little bit annoying but I couldn't care less.
What is bothering me quite a bit since I like to see my character face is that you need to be a medium and know the future so you can go to a station and unequip the helmet before dialogues?
I would be totally fine (for the normal armors) with an option to show or hide the helmet on the fly, like in Mass Effect, but with the helmet I chose at a gear station (not having random hemlets decided by the game like in ME1). Losing the stat bonus when doing so would be normal and expected.

lol even if you did know the future and where all the dialog scenes were, what is Shepard supposed to do if he/she's wearing a helmet, say: 'Hang everyone, I'm not ready to talk yet, gotta run to my ship quick and take this helmet off, wait on me...please!'

I find it ironic there's a helmet in the game that gives a conversation negotiation bonus yet it completely covers your face and slightly masks your voice.
lmfao..... QFT!!!
Seriously though guys, patch this. I actually have the Collector's Armor, The Inferno Armor, The Terminus Armor, and The Blood Dragon Armor..... yet I will NOT use any of them. It wouldn't irk me so much if the option to do it wasn't in the first game. It's not that something was left out, it's that something was removed.

Seriously, I highly doubt they will do anything about it - I'd be really surprised if they made helmets removable on the special armors.
