You get to pick either Briala or Gaspard. You'll probably need dirt on Gaspard in order to get Briala to rule.

If Celene is assassinated, Corypheus furthers his plans. He striked a big blow to skyhold, reopen the breach, used his dragon to sacrifice the emerald graves dragon because of it's beauty.

And you will found out the Dread wolf is hiding under the war table desk.

You will be left with Gaspard and Briala as your candidates for de facto ruler of Orlais. Also, you have to fight Florianne no matter what in this situation. You have to get dirt on Gaspard in order to advance the plot, so you're choice of ruler between those two is unrestricted.

Only if you're planning to let Briala rule through Gaspard who's her puppet, and as others have mentioned you'll be left with two option Gaspard or Briala. If you choose Gaspard, Briala will be executed. Regardless of who you're going to support, you can't avoid Florianne boss fight if you allow her to assassinate Celene. Nevertheless Corypheus's plan is foiled because there is another ruler to keep Orlais from falling apart.

Still, you have to acquire the information that can be used to blackmail Gaspard. You never have to use it, though.

Gaspard becomes Emperor. He either rules on his own or as Briala's puppet.

Yeah, the only real difference between Corypheus' plan and what actually happens is that the Inquisitor is there to deflect blame away from Gaspard.  Once you're there, it doesn't matter who's in charge, because the chaos Corypheus wanted doesn't happen.
