I enjoy Geth beeping and chirping in the rain.
Hazard maps were such a lame idea.

I quite enjoy Giant Hazard too, on the basis that it makes a change from the original which pollutes 90% of PS3 pugs.
Sorry that could be me, I create Giant gold matches against Cerberus to test out new weapon set ups, I always used to do it privately but that got boring so now I just start and know I'll only fight solo until for a wave or two.

... the thing I always wondered about most was why they didn't come up with a map and hazard combination similar to Tali's mission in ME2.
That's what the Ghost Hazard is, essentially: don't stand in the open or your shields will go down. The only difference is the angle from which the hazard approaches you (directly above in Ghost, or from a 45o angle in Tali's mission).

I don't think I've run into you so it's nothing personal, though I would beg you to find another map to go public with. Pleeeeeeease!! Just to counter-balance the endless waves of pugs who seem to think it's the only map they have any chance of succeeding on.

Well, yeah, that was kinda my point. Essentially the same is not the same, and I'm Irish - I have enough feckin rain to contend with - bring me sunshine goddammit! The 45 degree angle is the thing that makes her mission most interesting, and I was just saying I was surprised something 'the same' wasn't implemented in MP.

Hazard Ghost is a thing of beauty. GREAT visuals. The only one I really hate is hazard/Glacier/Collectors.

Blind2Society made a cute little vid a while back with a Nemesis 'singing in the rain'.

The reactor won't hurt bosses...Hazard Giant is just a night version of the original with occasional flashes from the giant AA gun firing. Hazard Reactor turns the reactor close to the deployment point into an actual reactor that can cook whatever's inside when charged up.

It would have been as simple as adding Haestrom as a map. Hydra is the only quarian/geth themed map that we currently have. They probably could have even recycled ME2 assets, but we totally needed like a billion shitty Earth maps and lazily adding screenshake or blindness that only affects us to existing maps, and calling them "new".
Hazard ghost is really the only one that I think is interesting from a gameplay perspective, but its problem is the implication that we would all be better off swapping our Claymores and Widows for goddamn super soakers to take out shields, which is retarded.

But there's that one area on Ghost Hazard where you can stand outside and not lose your shields, which never made any sense to me because there's no roof or anything covering that area to prevent the acid rain. Still it's a bad idea to stand in that spot because you're vulnerable in a few different directions.

Reactor Hazard is awesome.
Glacier Hazard is BS.
Other than that they aren't that bad. If you think Giant is too dark, turn up your damn brightness. I can see fine.

The only one I don't like is Dagger hazard. I rather like the other ones, although Glacier hazard can be a pain sometimes.

Platinum on that small base where theres a bug cloud taking a walk around map doing damage... What a nightmare. Specially when that cloud thing is having emo choices >

The reactor won't hurt bosses...
It does, but roughly one third of the shield on gold only. Anyway, if your team is actually counting on the reactor to elimiate the bigger threats, then there's a big problem.

It'd automatically become my most favorite map. There can never be enough screenshake. I remember using venom in SP for that mission. It was one of most beautiful things ever.
