I have posted previously re my continued problems with the above error and have found a solution that seems to work for me. I noticed my sound was having issues around the times that I got the error and found some info on the net that has worked for me for 8 hours today. In that time I would normally have had at least 6 crashes.
The thing that was causing issues for me were the NVIDIA HD Audio Drivers and all I did was disable them in the device manager.
I have a dedicated SB X-fi sound card which was set as the default sound device however apparently the Nvidia download of new drivers also enables the Nvidia HD Audio drivers and can cause a conflict.
Since I did that I have played continuously for almost 8 hours and not had one of the Device Hung errors.
I hope this helps other people. 
Sorry I also just remembered the other thing I did was to turn down my GPU clock speed for my GTX 770 to 1046 (the base setting) as the card came already overclocked.
