Favorite Dragon Age character?

A close runner up is Flemeth. I just love how she makes a great impression even though she has very little screentime. I like how she basically seems to know every secret about the DA universe while at the same time being ten steps ahead of every other character in the games. I also like how bioware has given her small "sympathic" traits (sparing kieran after morrigan basically called her out for being a terrible mother). Alot of the appeal has to do with kate mulgrews amazing voiceacting.

Excepting my own characters...
Loghain.
Runner-up: Vivienne.
After that, it gets unclear.

Morrigan. -- I love that she just continues on her own agenda...whatever it turns out to be. Also Claudia Black - that voice!
additionally:
Cullen - for sheer character arc from game 1 to 3, huge growth
Aveline/Isabella - mostly love their friendship dynamic
Flemeth - see Morrigan
Vivienne - love her sass. totally disagree with pretty much everything she says, but i love her
Solas - so tricksy!
... I could probably give my reasons for every character. but that's what comes to mind.
Also the Dog. I miss Dog.

My favorite DA character?
Dorian.
By a mile.

Although I REALLY like Iron Bull and Cole, despite being little more than "meh" about them, to begin with. I also loved Loghain, Zevran, DAA Anders, Nathaniel, Sigrun, Aveline, Isabela, Fenris, Arishok, Harding, etc,. etc. It's much easier to narrow down who I don't like.

It's hard to pick an place for each of them, but outside of my protagonists, my favourites are the following:
Morrigan, Loghain, Bethany, Varric and Aveline.

Oh heavens, I hope this thread doesn't descend into war... ![]()
Hmm, narrowing it down is really, really hard. I'll try though...
Companions:
Leliana is probably my ultimate favourite. Player choice induced split personality aside, she actually has a very interesting arc and development. I'm a sucker for the bad-girl-gone-good types. Also, redheads.
She's very complex with several different layers to her personality and an interesting backstory.
Morrigan is a close second. She's a conundrum wrapped in an enigma. You never know her true motives, yet there's a softer side under all that biting sarcasm. I firmly believe she's one of the good guys, and my Warden trusts her.
Isabela - alright, this is mostly for eye candy.
But, if you pursue a romance with her, you do get to see a softer and more vulnerable side to her. She's more three dimensional if you read the graphic novels.
Aveline is just Aveline. 'nuff said. Strong, stoic, always has your back, and is an adorable disaster at courtship. Dreamy. ![]()
Varric is one of the best companions in both DA2 and DAI. He's funny, charming, and has a heart of gold under all that manly chest hair.
Cassandra was really well fleshed out in Inquisition. Strong, principled, takes no nonsense and of course - *disgusted noise*
NPCs
Flemeth: Even more enigmatic than her lovely daughter. I was convinced enough she was a danger to kill her to protect Morrigan, but she's always kept me guessing. Her scenes in DAI were fantastic, and I'm really going to miss her if she's gone for good. ![]()
Arishok: One of the best antagonists in the serious IMO. Not evil by any means, but driven by convictions that were alien to my characters, and unwavering in his resolve. Wonderfully simplistic yet very complex all at once. Killing him made me feel pretty bad.
Cullen: Cullen is a strong, principled character whose ideals I respect, even if I disagree often (killing mages in Origins etc). Despite that, he backed down once Meredith had clearly lost her marbles, and he had Aveline's back during the War Table mission. He can think outside his own beliefs and is compassionate.

Outside of the companions, Celene. Even if I did find her role in Inquisition to be disappointing.

I also really liked Anora and Gaspard (though I preferred Gaspard in TME and tend not to give either of them complete control of their respective countries)

Vivienne (this one character has sparked multiple page debates), Iron bull, Dorian and Isabela.
The characters from DAI were really well done, and it shows.
They'd most likely be my friends in real life too. xDD

Mine is Loghain. I have a soft spot for characters that i "hate to love". Characters that i basically should hate on paper, but that i end up liking because of how theyre written/portrayed. I also like how DA fans have vastly different opinions of him. I like when a story can make the viewers get vastly different interprations of a character. It doesnt hurt that simon templemans voicework is amazing to.

I agree with ending up feeling Loghain but ONLY when he tells his daughter to stop begging for his life and makes the "always a little girl" comment.
Flemeth I love adored since the beginning because she is FIERCE!
But my favorites are Alastair, Shale, my frickin' dog, Varric, Dorian, Morrigan, and Zev....oh and Sandal...and the Arishok...but only so he can father my children.

Shale is right up there, too. I was really hoping BW would bring her back in some way, in DAI.
