Well the OP does have a point. While the IQ isnt a king/queen. He or she IS in a VERY high position of power and his or her demeanor while on the throne should reflect this.

I think it does. The slouch conveys a casual arrogance.

I like it. That's exactly how I'd sit on a throne.

This. Also some of those thrones don't look comfortable.

(to Cyberstrike nTo) Except for the Ferelden throne. It looks like my Inquisitor could fall asleep on it because of those furs.

I actually enjoy the slouchy posture but I'll agree that it doesn't really fit with all inquisitor personality types. What bothers me most is the beer gut and that femquisitors sit like a man  <_<

Whenever my Quizzy sits on the throne, I always choose the middle option, I love her posture there compared to the top and bottom.

Agreed. I wasn't sure which race combo is complaining though.

I thought they looked pretty good on my male elf and Qunari, too.

No, they aren't.

Yes, they are

By the end of the game, IQ likely has more power, more influence with more people than any other ruler around

I agree. Sitting uptight only makes you look silly imo. A throne is made for slouching. Especially if you're a villain.

However, I still really hope we could get some damn armor on in Skyhold. Forget about clipping problems, I want my Inquisitior in full battle gear, shining and plastered with Inquisition symbols and the Inquisition helmet, when he sentences fools to death. And my Qunari to have her full face Vitaar when declaring boxes be made into tables for orphans, for the lulz of it.

Posture, at least for the female is very bad generally. But slouching on the throne in PJs is pretty nasty LOL

You can get the vitaar if you have helmets on and trigger a cutscene.

Inqy would probably look more regal/authoritive with the armor on....passing judgement in your PJs....no, just no. <_<

Give us that toggle already Bioware!!

Agreed. I'd rather have the chicken suit from Fable 3 than that beige monstrosity.

Yes, he is and he really does have that much power and infuence

Did you spend much time talking with Cassandra, Morrigan, Josephine, Cullen and Leliana about "what happens afterwards" ??

Did you skip LOTS of side quests and just rush thru the main story? Did you not make allies all over the map? Did you talk to Varric and Ironbull and see how the people feel about the "Herald"?

And by the way ..... what kind of people actually sit on thrones anyway??

There is only one throne upon which I shall sit on in a regal manner:

The slouch is ridiculous. To me it doesn't  convey casual arrogance it conveys someone trying to fake  casual arrogance. The Inquisitor just looks uncomfortable and awkward to me when they're sitting on the throne. Which actually makes a lot of sense since the Inquisitor, in most cases, would be really new to the idea of delivering judgement but still. Slouchy McSloucherton.

The jarls sat the same way in Skyrim and I hated it then, just as I hate it now in DAI.

WHOA hey now, lets not say things were gonna regret after all
Spoiler

Seriously though, when modders have come up better looking casuals I do worry. Not sure why an option to tint it wasn't added along with the Patch 5 update -_-

I hate how the Inquisitor sits on the throne :/  There's three different sitting styles and they're all pretty awkward.  Why not at least give us a poised sitting position to choose from instead of only giving us hunchback, slouchy mcslouchy pants, and i'm-too-relaxed-for-this-check-out-my-junk/ladybits?????  At least the Jarls in Skyrim had some throne sitting swag.  The Inquisitor just looks.... bleh D:

Not regal at all: slouched shoulders, pot belly, looking as bored as if he is watching a Simson's episode for the 4th rerun.

Cmon Bioware: the IQ is equivalent to a king, when he sits in judgement on the throne, he should look regal!

SIT UP STRAIGHT, HEAD UP, SHOULDERS BACK, CHEST OUT, STOMACH IN, and PAY ATTENTION!

Reminds me of Homer Simson watching tv

Ah, the one advantage a femQuisitor has... no potbelly on the throne.

Really? I'm a little surprised - if female IQ has same poor posture as male IQ, I expect not only a pot belly, but "saggies" on top of that! :D

How people feel about the Herald is irrelevant, becuase both Varric and Bull are referring to the Inquisitor being viewed as a messianic figure, not a monarch.

"What kind of people actually sit on thrones" is meaningless too. I could sit on a throne as I am right now, and it doesn't make me a king. A throne is just an ornate chair. You may as well be saying "well, the Inquisitor is a king because they live in a castle".

I don't mind the slouching too much, I just wish my female elfquisitor (who I headcanon to be the girliest girl to ever girl) would close her legs while she's at it.

What's the point in even having a throne if you don't get to look bored on it?

The positions on the throne are horrible, and fit only few characters type. Someone who take seriously the role of leader of one of the most powerful military organisation around should sit and do things in a more serious note than even a monarc, in my opinion.

But we are talking of a character who go aroung her soldiers in skin-tight jammies. -_-

I actually like it. Reminds me of Captain Janeway slouching in her captain's chair. Particularly liked it for my female qunari. I guess it wouldn't suit every inquisitor. In an ideal world we'd have a choice and also be able to pick how the inquisitor walks and runs etc but it's not a priority.
