Don't know if this has been posted but just read this on Kotaku for those interested: (link to article)

 

Nothing big but I just thought it was funny and ridiculous to jump on a rock 50 times to get the quest. Has anybody found the secret chest? Curious about the loot there. 

 

Like we don't look silly jumping on terrain made out of butter anyway...

Also I had to edit because Hrungr posted some disturbing dialogue from the quest...

 

Some interesting dialogue at the beginning of the quest if you run back and forth to the rock after first triggering the quest with jumping...

But yes, jumping 50+ times on a dead rock is a silly prerequisite.

Anyway, has the secret chest been located? I wonder if it's in the secret abyss in Emprise Du Lion. Maybe all the missing amulets are hidden there. x)

I'm gonna try today, I have a completionist character that's finished the game and has probably gotten all the avaliable pre-existing chests already.

 

Ngl though, this is disappointing. It's not an easter eggs. Easter eggs are fun and quirky.

That stairway always freaked me out for some reason. It's nice to know it has a purpose.

They should have put a ledge there, just barely out of jumping reach, because someone like me just might jump over fifty times and sliding back down fifty times just to see if I can get up there.  But a random rock in the middle of nowhere?  Nope.

Ugh... don't forget having to spam the emote just to get the quest it offers. '*Player* loves Elwynn Chicken!' x500... or x1. Depends on your luck! When you get lucky... 'Elwynn Chicken looks at *Player* quizzically.' Then it ponies up the damn quest.

 

Though... I might look for this rock out of curiosity
