It had 221 gold and a unique helmet called Ardent Blossom.

39 Armor rating, Item level 22, +24% Sunder when Hit, for Elf, Dwarf or Human. Req. Level 19.

That's all.

The hat should have been called, "Tinfoil hat" or something related to being absolutely mental. If the game doesn't refer to someone jumping on a rock 50+ times as crazy then what is crazy in Inquisition?

i was achievement hunter in WoW a thousand years ago, i'd do almost anything to have a fancy title and roleplay whilst waiting on raids.

only one thing in the verse could possibly make me jump on some rocks in DAI - a decent looking Skyhold outfit

Why would you jump on a rock 50 times? Who would jump behind there anyway and happily walk through a rock wall to find that stairway? No normal person thinks of that. Infact I'd think it was a glitch and unused resource and never go back there again.

These kinds of quests are just stupid. They went out of their way to make this quest about about 0.005% of gamers playing it will ever see it. Pointless.

Color me crazy. I just don't think its worth it to jump on a rock 50 times. Then looks for hours for chest for items. You might not even need. Unless you have a compulsive to complete everything and a  reason to find this. I just don't see the big deal. You can easily complete the game without it.

Jump 50 times on the rock. Check.

Recieve the quest. Collect 10 flowers. Check.

Return to quest completion. You get influence. Okay...

Then look for a hidden chest that is nowhere to be seen. Che-wait what?! xD

lol I definitely won't be doing something like this.

Who on Earth would jump 50 times on a random rock?

Me.

My tastes are far superior. If I required you or anyone else to agree they would be as inferior as yours. Royalty do not require commoners to do anything, the commoners make royalty superior by just stating their commoner inferior bad tastes, their very inferior existence exalts royalty.

Games accessible for anyone like Inquisition are way below my royal tastes. Let the peasants hold the left mouse button while I royally distribute my stat points in games with lots of classes and races. Enjoy your peasantry.

I don't agree with your first statement, but I do agree that this post is hilarious.

Seriously, and all for influence and a hidden chest with crap in it?

Some interesting dialogue at the beginning of the quest if you run back and forth to the rock after first triggering the quest with jumping...

(Note: the last comment when you find the chest)

OMG like WAT. I posted this on the front so people can read it. That's scary and disturbing. Up there with the Oculara.

Ohh don't you worry! I re-posted that dialogue over to my most reliable conspiracy theoricrafters: The Solas Thread. It should keep us entertained for a while hehe

Okay, I tried the quest again with a different character (who made different choices) and I picked up a couple extra lines of dialogue. I've added them to the list...

The two new ones I got (from the rock, not the chest) this time were, "Deviating from the plan..." and "Need more!..."

That's weird. I thought everybody would get the same but it's pretty crazy they spent time changing the lines based on a character actions just for a secret quest?

It is weird. Both times I did the quest I walked to and from the rock until the "Place" button came up and continued until it started repeating the same line over and over. If it's not based on your playthrough, maybe there is there some element of chance involved for some lines?

I'm re-posting my comment from another thread, so if this info is already mentioned here - sorry!

I tried this quest yesterday and other than being a bit confused about where to look for the chest in Emprise du Lion, once I found it I easily got the Ardent Blossom from the chest. Mine was a lvl 19 & armor rating of 40, if there's any need to know!

Two things that I've not seen mentioned by anyone else discussing this quest that may help out, there is a second loot chest near the "snow wall" access to the long staircase leading down to the Ardent Blossom chest. Look behind the rubble! And  do not drop the Veilfire torch, bring that back down the long tunnel that takes you behind Suledin Keep to score a Frost Rune along the pathway back.

Happy hunting!

Ah, good old school easter eggs! Reminds me of Monkey Island 3, if you tried to walk into the sea a number of times, Guybrush would finally do it and find his own drowned image from Monkey Island 1. There was no real purpose to it except fun.

Who cares, the game sucked and was a massive disappointment.

tumblr_lg8g5jBaro1qa9vqgo1_500.gif

This quest is the summary of the game, it is all this game is and will ever be. If Inquisition was one quest, this is the one. (Previously I would say that the Game was Varrics book chasing quest but jumping as a brainless bunny fits this game better). Some people like funny and hidden things others, like me, want real deep interesting contest.

That's twice I've cracked up at your posts while reading this thread..

Ardent blossom eh. Perhaps that's what Rivaini gave me... ;)

Well I've been trying to get the extra lines you got but I only get the same thing as before even with a different character who made different choices. I wonder what it is. The mystery continues.

Hmm... maybe there is some element of random chance? Or a very specific choice made by the PC?

Maybe there's a specific choice that counts although with all the little glitches and things happening in everyone's game, I wouldn't be surprised if it's just a glitch in my save or something.

Joseph Warrick, love your avatar.

I don't understand. There is dialogue but it changes? What makes it change?

I was looking for some high level encounter in DAI, like whatever the kangaxx reference was. Gax Kang?

Is there some weird codex in the game that references, for example, Frederick the Foolish who jumped on rocks or something? Otherwise, this seems like a really weird Easter egg.

Edit, is this the formless one? (I want a fight, hence I hope so.)

Not sure if it has been mentioned in this thread, but the unique "helmet" you get in reward for this quest is actually a flower crown. (!) Looks awesome on Cassandra and Dorian.
