same here install from retail disk, install then crash the only error message is the game stopped working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

This is unacceptable. I can't play the game on release because of this, they should at least refund a portion of the price this is stupid.

I've got the same problem. D2D Deluxe version downloaded and installed. Probably bad coding on Bioware's part, same-old-same-old. They'll blame it on the PC when it's bad beta testing and implementation no doubt.
I am running on a eVGA C72M55XECRB N-Force 4 Motherboard, Intel Q6700 Quad Core OC'd to 3.4 GHZ, 4 Gig OCZ ram, eVGA GTX275, X-Fi Platinum PCI sound card, Win 7 Professional 64 bit, loaded on a OCZ Agility SSD, all Drivers up to date.
Help us and make it fast please. This is another slap in the face to the best gaming platform...the PC! Get it right or throw in some more DLC free too!

Okay, I got my game to work.
I reinstalled the game, which went fine. After it finished, I was prompted to install something called Adobe Air. I had ignored it before, but this time I installed it. It installed, and then updated. Once it finished I was able to register my game and play!
Try this, see if it works for you guys.

same issue, but for some reason adobe air refuses to install, keeps erroring out and failing.
So why the hell does it require adobe air to run? air is an internet application, if this is some crappy DRM attempt....

Ok, I think I figured it out on my end. Uninstall the game if you haven't already and re-install it. This time, instead of doing the standard install, you need to do custom. This will let you have the ability to put the launch icon on your desktop and create a separate folder for the game. Once I did this, it worked. I don't have the technical knowhow to explain why it worked, but hell... it worked, lol.

Uninstalled, then reinstalled along w/ Adobe Air. This got rid of the awc.dll load fail, but now the game freezes on the mandatory activation. Unbelievable. Can you imagine how many legitimate gamers a release like this will drive to get pirated games in the future? Hopefully some people will be fired over this.

Uninstalled the game, installed DerectX from disk (which should have been current but got updated so might not have been) , reinstalled the game and the game ran fine. Makes me wonder if it was an issue with Direct X ???

So is Bioware going to give us some support or do we have to do this on our own? Yes, I necro'd this topic, because after repeated installs, I'm still having this problem.
