REQ: Respawning enemy locations/Compilation

Anyone know of locations that will keep respawning baddies no matter your main story progress? I liked killing the dueling Templars and Mages in the Hinterlands so I didn't claim the area nor complete side quests;however, after you know who comes knocking, the region depopulates.

 

Locations:

Emerald Graves: Firewater Garden [Giants]

Emprise Du Lion: Near Drakon's Rise camp [Red Templar Knights]

Hinterlands: Valammar [Darkspawn, Carta thugs]

Hissing Wastes: The Tomb of Fairel [Failing the puzzles triggers demons]

Hissing Wastes: Canyons [Poison Spiders]

Storm Coast: Lyrium Falls [Giant Spiders, Poison Spiders]

Storm Coast: Cave near Small Grove Camp [Poison Spiders, Giant Spiders, Deepstalkers]

Storm Coast: Keeping the Darkspawn down [Don't seal the tunnels and Darkspawn will respawn]

If you intentionally fail any of the tomb puzzles in the Hissing Wastes, demons will always respawn. I'm not sure if they scale to your level, but for me they were always at level 19.

There many possible spawn points in hissing wastes(and most other maps) for 'rng' encounters but you might have to reload several times for them to appear.

My favorite is the Lyrium Falls cave in Storm Coast. It will respawn giant and poison spiders, plus it has a ton of respawning hard-to-find crafting materials, like Prophet's Laurel. If the Keeping the Darkspawn Down side quest is active, it will also respawn darkspawn, though I prefer the area around Griffon Wing Keep in the Westeran Approach for farming darkspawn materials.

 

The Canyon Tomb and general canyon area in the Hissing Wastes also reliably respawns poison spiders, not to mention volcanic aurum. And the tomb can respawn demons for spirit and intense fire essences. And there's Betyar's Canyon Market. One stop shopping!

Oh, and how can I forget. In the Emerald Graves, giants respawn in the Firewater Garden area. :) That's my proving ground for new T3 armor/weapon/party combos.

Cool, I forgot about KTDD and how they will keep respawning until you seal the tunnels.

In post #1, you should say what spawns. It's at least as important as where.

 

Red templar knights reliably respawn near the Drakon's Rise camp in Emprise Du Lion. Start at Drakon's Rise camp, head east (the rightmost bridge), and then turn south (right) towards the Tower Camp. To the north (left) and backtracking a bit will be an arch down a slight slope. Pass through the arch and there are the red templar knights.

 

In the Storm Coast, giant spiders and deepstalkers reliably respawn in the cave above the Small Grove Camp (middle one). The respawn happens within seconds. The cave has two levels, with a ladder in between. Pretty much when you clear out one level, the other level respawns. You can stay in there all day farming spider and deepstalker materials. Sometimes a bear wanders through as well. CAUTION: at least on PC, the navmesh in the cave is completely broken. Companions will get stuck and will not follow you.

You missed @blaidfiste's suggestion. It's a good one, since corpse heart is a rune material.

Is your scroll bar broken? :)

 

Or is it possible you've not gone to the Fallow Mire in any play through and don't know about the Corpses that come out of the water?

I've had three Arcane Horrors respawn in Temple of Dirthamen and one in the small treasure room after leaving the Dead Hand puzzle in Exalted Plains.  Only one time in each location if I remember correctly.

 

It's not many, but Arcane horror hearts are hard to come by.

It's not many, but Arcane horror hearts are hard to come by.

Arcane Horrors will respawn in at least the first Rampart if you do not set fire to the corpse pits. You can kill the Arcane Horrors,  zone out and zone back in again, and return to the same rampart and they will respawn. The corpses are also infinite respawn until you kill the Arcane Horrors.

 

I couldn't get them to respawn in the second or third ramparts. Might have bugged the quest by not setting fire to any of the pits, so warranty void where prohibited.
