I think if you just run back and forth bumping into the house (or back up a few feet, and then move forward into it again), it'll play a new line, and eventually give you the quest. (After you've done all the jumping, I mean.)

Didn't work for me either. I got this:
SpoilerSo mysterious.
Tis such a shame though. The flowers would've looked marvelous on butthead's shiny butthead.
Keep jumping on the cave, or walking away from it and then walking back. The cave dweller will say something each time. The lines he says are random, but eventually he'll say something that triggers the quest.

The first one is kind of odd. I cant think what this could be referring too. Did you do the quest pre Cory fight?

He says something else, too, about something not being right. He said that to me when I brought him the Crystal Grace.
For some reason I interpeted Bring Faith, Bring Hope, and Bring a Dream of Life as instructions to bring certain party members. I brought Cassandra for Faith, and Cole as a Dream of Life, but I couldn't figure out anyone who corresponds with hope. If there's a trick there, Varric isn't the right guy.

Why? I've been to that area, I noticed the veil fire torch, so I, like many, would assume there is a rune thing near by. It was a dead end, I wouldn't think to jump over that fallen wall and then walk through what I'd assume is a rock wall.I lit the torch, and walked the other way to find the rune, then left.
Quests like this and hidden areas like this are stupid.
Speaking of this particular rune, atleast in my comp I cannot see the rune graphics, but I hear the little sound it makes when you are near it with veilfire torch and after I can pick it up. Afterwards I cannot see the rune + red paint - graphics either.
The rune is somewhere in the middle of the tunnel if someone is wondering ![]()

I tried this quest yesterday and other than being a bit confused about where to look for the chest in Emprise du Lion, once I found it I easily got the Ardent Blossom from the chest. Mine was a lvl 40, if there's any need to know!
Two things that I've not seen mentioned by anyone else discussing this quest that may help out, there is a second loot chest near the "snow wall" access to the long staircase leading down to the Ardent Blossom chest. Look behind the rubble! And do not drop the Veilfire torch, bring that back down the long tunnel that takes you behind Suledin Keep to score a Frost Rune along the pathway back.
Happy hunting!

It did this quest yesterday, I got the right trigger dialogue eventually but not the 'go to the endless stairs" one. I checked my inventory and the crystal grace count was down by 10 so I took a chance and went to Emprise du Lion and the chest was there!

I had Bull, Sera and Solas with me the last time and once I did it without having any companions with me at all. Still success. It seems that the flower helmet's stats changes. Last time it gave me (playing elf) lv19/39 armor rating. My sister (playing qunari) got it with lv19/41 armor rating.

You know, it's just... really, how can one discover this, even unintentionally?
Btw, what kind of easter egg is this? Does it parodiing something from mass culture? Is it a cameo from BW's old game? Or it's just some reference to IRL's event or people?

Dev leak. I don't know if its a reference or anything, probably just a programmer who got bored one day.

People kept asking for the ability to jump.
Now go jump 50 times in a corner.
Have you had enough?

BACK IN MY DAY all easter eggs were like this. Just silly nonsense things, like seeing a dev's face on a butterfly's wings, or Christmas lights appearing on the scenery. And they always were near-impossible to find without a guide. I remember one that was basically "click on everything that's shaped like a salt shaker... your cursor won't change, but you have to find and click every one of them."
It's only recently that gamers have started taking easter eggs so damn seriously.
Besides, this one potentially has some cool foreshadowing in it. It's Sandal's prophecy v2.0.

I do like easter eggs but i agree that this one is a little too well hidden. Id prefer it if they were hidden, but not so well hidden it was undiscoverable without a dev telling you what to do to get it.

I'm glad a dev finally spilled the beans on this, no way anyone was going to figure this out on their own.
I don;t know the history behind the whole 'Dragon Age characters wearing flowery headdresses' thing. (Is it a meme?) BUt I've seen it abound on my favorite DA blogs for quite some time before the release of Inquisition. It's awesome that Bioware made that the focus of this fun little easter egg.
And you know what? The crown actually looks very good on my female Dalish Inquisitor. I actually wish there were more 'earthy' clothing/armor options for elf players.
