I don't mind people THINK we are some kind of chossen person, i just want to be able to say no, and of course i don't want Bioware to choose what we believe, otherwise no problem. It will be easy to make them bend the knee and obey *evil laugh* i
Can we please not be a religious figure of any sort again?

I see this as an over-the-top criticism. The game emphasizes that the people, and the Inquisition to garner enough support, need the Inquisitor to be the Herald of Andraste regardless of the truth/personal beliefs. Even if the pc protests it can be seen by many as humility or simple difficulty accepting something so monumental. Really though, it would be far easier to think of someone else as the Herald of Andraste than yourself when you realize you're just a person. You don't hear Andraste talking to you or anything. You just happened to be in the center of something grand. And when Varric recites his reasons for believing you're chosen it is easy to see how people would view the pc as Herald regardless of what they say.
In my own playthrough my pc was a believer in the Maker but couldn't really grasp the notion of being chosen. She denied it when pressed until the end of Champions of the Just when she looked back at the breach and decided she would be the Herald of Andraste whether she believed it or not. Throughout the game she came around a little to the notion and hoped it was true, but was always more doubtful than the believers which is to be logically expected I think. Note: I just wish there was an option to change your view on the matter, because for the rest of the game characters assumed I didn't believe all because of what I said in Val Royeux to the clerics very early on.

Me too and I already feel pretty powerful given I play as a mage most of the time. So that just kind of made me feel even more powerful and influential on things. I like feeling this way on games that's one of the main reasons why I enjoy playing them. Especially as being disabled as I am life can feel rotten and a drag sometimes playing games like this helps improve my spirits. So I hope Bioware continue to do them. This was actually one of my favorite things about the game! I loved how if you played your quizzy as very devout they got new dialogue options too. The little speech they give the Templars was amazing.
Maybe if was the powertrip, but I always got a kick out of being called "Your Worship".

My elven Inquisitor kind of wanted to tell people that he believed in
It was nice to be able to offer differing opinions, however, even if the people may need to believe otherwise.

I am the will of our lady manifest! I am the herald of Andraste! She sent me to remind you of your sacred duty, a shield against dark magic, the knights who will end the breach. We will not deny our lady's will... not anymore.
Of course you won't punk, get yo sexy ass to Haven ![]()

I never realized how annoying it was to try and roleplay a Creator worshipping Dalish or a Stone believing dwarf or an atheist Vashoth until I tried recently. I can pretty much shout my lack of faith in Andraste from the rooftops and everyone still insists I'm the Herald anyway, its like everything I say goes in one ear and out the other of everyone listening.
Can we go back to a Hawke sort of person again? I miss my kind of irrelevant small fry guy
You can deny it as much as you want. People don't always listen to you. If you want role-playing, there is nothing more realistic than saying something to someone and they ignore it.
