I was wondering IF and if so what new challenges you would like to see - some could say: why implement new challenges, DAIMP is already in the last stage of dying.

But creating new challenges could be a way to make, for example, the mid-level blue & purple weapons a bit more interesting...

a.k.a. Specific Weapon Challenges

Example: Bow Challenge:

kill 50/100/250/500/1000 enemies with the Bow of Helpful Hazard (Caltrops <3 )

kill 50/100/250/500/1000 enemies with the Silent Jenny

kill 50/100/250/500/1000 enemies with the Bane of Red Crossing

kill 50/100/250/500/1000 enemies with the Elder Dalish Bow

kill 50/100/250/500/1000 enemies with the Longbow of the Griffon

kill 50/100/250/500/1000 enemies with the Punished by the Maker

kill 50/100/250/500/1000 enemies with the Bow of Cruel Redemption

kill 50/100/250/500/1000 enemies with the Elusive Icebow

...

stupid idea (cuz of course you already long salvaged those mid-levelas of now pretty useless items)?

stupid idea (cuz DAIMP is dead)?

nice idea but not going to happen?

nice idea, BW plz!!!?

Thoughts?

Usually full lobbies when I play...

I wouldn't be surprised if DLC brings a few extra challenges.

The Agent and location Wealth challenges are already significant hurdles that I haven't fulfilled a quarter of yet...

yes the existing challenges are partly quite hard to complete - agent and location wealth indeed being the hardest

I have no problems to find lobbies either - but there are some rants here on the forum, that DAIMP is dying (due to lack of content, bugs, loot system...)

In RNG world some challenges could prove rather difficult (*cough*LotG*cough*)

We're due some more content soonTM if the hinting is to be believed.

Aside of the connectivity delights of the internet, I'm finding the game pretty stable on XB1 - I appreciate region and platform experience varies.

And as for loot, whilst we may complain about it, a stingy methodology keeps folk playing, that's basic MP psychology.

that elusive soonTM ... soon like in "this year", "this century"?! patience, patience, my love!

crappy loot system: some are saving up, some are still spending gold ... Is there actually anybody out there who got ALL (high-level/rare/unique) Items?

(I'd be happy if BW at least adds some new chests to the store (e.g. includes 5 random items with at least 2 being high-level rares/uniques for idk 5000 gold or so...)

I recall the same was requested of MEMP.

I'm still short some 90 U/R unlocks...

hm, with no tracking of which item/weapon we already have and the intended "dublicate items for salvaging" - you are right - it won't improve much with an extra chest

I think there would be a lot of backlash to such challenges unless there is some means to buy or temporarily obtain the weapons required for the challenges. Most people salvage the weapons which are not their "best" weapons in each category, and it could take them a very long time to obtain those weapons again for the challenges.

In example, they could have the inquisition temporarily "lend out" weapons required for such specific challenges, already crafted with uniform or randomized upgrades and runes and not further craft-able. Or if bioware keeps track of what items have been obtained by each player historically, they could give us back the items that have been salvaged, so we'd have a manifest of items like in ME3MP.

I salvage almost everything to be able to open more than a few chests at a time, so this would have the adverse effect on me. I'm already barely playing the game as it is. I suppose it'd be a different story if salvaging a weapon unlocked the schematic for it, and using better materials yielded a stronger item, but bad design is bad.

It seems that Biower transfered a lot of people after DA:I release to "not ME4"project,so we could wait prolonged amount of time on new content.

If anyone would care at that point.

Seems that the new IP has certainly sucked up some talent, but the cancellation of Shadow Realms has equally thrown some resource from Austin, DAI's way as well:

BioWare Austin General Manager Jeff Hickman explained. [Following the cancellation of Shadow Realms] "BioWare Austin is currently occupied with several projects, including Dragon Age: Inquisition enhancements, the new Mass Effect sequel, and other new IP." source

I think it is a good idea, but like others have said, Bioware wouldn't make challenges that aren't readily accessible to everyone.

Perhaps something more like:

Kill 250/500/1000 with a "low-tier" bow

Kill 250/500/1000 with a "mid-tier" bow

Kill 250/500/1000 with a "high-tier" bow

Also, I feel the game itself is still fairly active.. but this forum.. yeah, it's dying.

Last time I heard this PR crap from that studio, it followed it up with 7 months of no new content. It happened during the SWTOR`s move from sub to F2P.

Meh. I haven't played since last week's challenge operation and likely won't be playing this week's at all. I know, different topic, but sort of related. The loot system makes me less inclined to play, thus making all the other challenges less inviting to try to get done. Right now, I just have no interest or incentive.

I like more challenges. More specialized ones would be nice, for example: "Play class X for at least 10% more than any other class" to get a shiny new banner or something.

This will make completionists angry though, as you can only gold one at a time.

@Teophne: Worst challenge-idea ever, since it whould heavily penalize players who played MP alot, while it whould be easy for those who did not Play at all before!

It is similar for challenges based on specific weapons, because (unlike MEMP) you have to remove stuff from your inventory, it is not possible to own everything.

The only way whould be to increase inventory space:
152 slots for armors
1 for each weapon
maybe 1 more for each dagger
1 for each shield
at least 8 for runes
2 for each armor upgrade
100 Slots for chest opening (20 large chests) and crafting weapon Upgrades

I think that whould be a lot more space than we got now.

Interesting that in MEMP there were the Lone Wolf challenges of soloing Bronze, Silver and Gold missions.

Yet at launch soloing was dismissed as something DAMP was not intended to be normally achieved.

Would have been the first banner for everyone to unlock in DAIMP ^^

N172: True that, but I meant it more as a non-challenge challenge. I mean that it wouldn't be a challenge which you once gain and it sticks, like the rest, but more like just a banner you get to show your dedication with.

The more active players of course have the other, real, achievements with those 1000 games played as class X.

Maybe just give a specialized banner you can use to show your dedication with one class for the class you have the most games with AFTER you've achieved the 1000 games on each achievements (or whatever amount it was for each class)

Interesting how folk play differently.

I level up fairly evenly and have 60-65 successful runs for each of my 12 classes, so about 1/4 of the way there...

(To do that for all is going to take 3,000 successful runs, that's a lot ! )

I'm not saying I'm the one playing a single class. Just thought it'd be nice for those who do.

so - as noticed in another thread... there seems to be a new challenge coming (at least in HQ there are 50 points challenge progress unaccounted for - which is to big a number for a mere weekend challenge...) :)
