Is a Cerberus Phantom “the woman of your nightmares”? Yes.
Are your relationships with Phantoms typically “Medi-gel at first-sight”? Yes.
Does the mere glimpse of a Phantom “get you down”? Yes.
If “yes” is your answer to these questions, YES!!!!!!!!
PS, thanks for the info ![]()

You're welcome, Andy. I read on the Mass Effect Wikia website that it is possible to freeze Phantoms, but I have never seen anyone do it in-game or in a gameplay-video, so I made a video. Thank you for the funny reply; I am still laughing!

Cryo shield is pretty cool but flame shield is just better to me once you get past the novelty of being able to turn those sword bitches into Popsicles

For rookies and veterans alike: learn how to freeze Phantoms! I am not talking about Stasis, Stasis Bubble, Submission Net, Poison Strike, or Nightshade Blades; I am talking about turning a Phantom into ICE! Click the link in order to see the video illustration and other excellent Mass Effect Enthusiast content!

That was awesome to say the least.

I do not understand what you mean. Are you saying that non-bubble Stasis will no-longer immobilize Phantoms? Did BioWare make an update? I was practicing Phantom-headshots with the Executioner Pistol and Vulnerability Stasis just last week.

So what's the advantage of the flame shield? I've had it on that for so long I've forgotten why...

Also cryo shield is bugged right?
I have read on the Mass Effect Wikia website that the Rank 6 Tech Explosion evolution of Snap Freeze is bugged; I have never experienced anything that is problematic with the Cryo Shield.

The Flame Shield is slightly better at killing Dragoons; it adds burning-damage over time, and it makes it very easy to score Fire Explosions with either Snap Freeze or Incinerate. The Cryo Shield decelerates the movement-speed of the Dragoons, and it weakens their armor, but it cannot kill them as quickly as the Fire Shield.

Check there starting at number 8. Cryo doesn't debuff like it's supposed to I guess. More talk about it here-

Thanks, that's probably why I ended up with the fire shield, freezing Phantoms is fun, but why bother if you've killed them with a few weapon shots a Snap Freeze followed by a fire shield bash. Dragoons end up being more annoying if you take longer to kill them when they swarm en masse. Saved me a respec card.

Thank you for the heads-up! I never noticed the Cryo Shield's lack of its claimed de-buffing ability, because I always use a maximum-melee build, and I never had a problem with the Dragoons. Wouldn't it be great if Snap Freeze and Cryo Shield did everything that their descriptions say that they can do!?!

For me, freezing Phantoms never loses its appeal; I love to do anything that stops Phantoms in their tracks and makes them look stupid!
