So what's the advantage of the flame shield? I've had it on that for so long I've forgotten why...
CD free fire explosion primer, not to mention it's a flame based power so again cheese. Technically you cannot play the Paladin kit without using an exploit either assuming you use his powers, he is the most glitched kit in the game.

Despite the fact that this tactic is undoubtedly old-news to many veteran-players, would you not concur that it is useful and fun information for new-players to learn, and for seasoned-players of which to be reminded? After all, even though Mass Effect 3 is three-years-old, it is still very-much alive-- as evidenced by this forum, and by the many new-players that I encounter on the Xbox360 almost every day.
Even within this discussion-thread, there are a few veterans, and some rookies, who were not aware of the method by which Phantoms may be frozen. Phantoms still exist in this game, they still make missions difficult for many players (especially during Platinum missions), and this strategy is still a valid and entertaining way of vanquishing them.
I learned from the Mass Effect Wikia website that the Cryogenic Omni-Shield is the only weapon that can freeze Phantoms. However, at the time that I read it, the website did not include a description or an illustration of how to use the shield in order to freeze Phantoms (I believe that it still does not). I also have never seen anyone accomplish this feat in-game, and I have never seen a demonstration-video of it. So, I decided to produce a video that would allow me to share this information-- in-detail-- with the Mass Effect community. I am glad that some players have found it to be nostalgic, and other players have found it to be enlightening!
Of course. My comment was not meant to disrespect your effort in any way - just to share my nostalgic feelings with people who can understand them
There have been a time when I used to spec into cryo shield just for that

Dala Kaar is in agreement with you, with respect to my final post in the "Cobra Missile..." thread!people being nice and polite on the internet? Reported
I like the multi-layered politeness in this thread.
Much as I do want to enjoy freezing Phantoms in this way I've never found Phantoms a problem for him anyway. Shoot or ED, Snap Freeze and shield bash and Phantoms are dead. This is one of those characters Phantoms can kiss my donkey.
