We don't know what Sten's reaction would be had the Warden said: "I'm a man", if I remember it correctly he only argues "females can't be warriors" after he has confirmed that warden is female.

Not a peep from Bull about the female Inquisitor or companions fighting either. I think Bull is just more worldly that Sten was.
More worldly than any of the warriors from DA2, as well. Seeing as they were all shirtless without funbags.

Oh I know! I got this one. I love shoes, makeup, and hate sports...right? Or I wear pink and lots of lipstick...right?
How do I act?
You know this thread is about the Qun right? and their gender expectations? It is like you are purposely misunderstanding because you've run out of points to make.

I'm still curious what women are like? Do we all like flowers, clothing, makeup, the color pink. Is our hair all long, do we wear ballgowns and not armor when fighting, do we all like to have sex with men?
What do women act like that's so different than men?

Usually, when I ask a woman if she's a woman, she'll say "yes."

Well considering at no point in DA:O did Sten get to inspect the Warden's gentaila, by your own logic the fact that Krem looks & behaves like a man would be enough for the Qun.
Krem certainly doesnt look like a man.

I'm asking you since you seem to know that women warriors are different than male warriors or something. Is it a difficult question to answer?
My points remain the same. I see nothing out of Sten or the Arishok that shows me that people with vaginas would be warriors in their society or that you got to choose this life as a child (when you would recognize presumably that you're a "male" inside).
They changed the Qun viewpoint as is their right as the originators of this world.

That is the only thing that separates women from me is our response to "are you a woman"? That seems a bit shallow that our whole gender concept is predicated on a single word in a given language. What if I say to you: can't you tell? What if I don't speak your language and can't understand you, do I suddenly have no gender?
So I ask again, how am I different than a man? How do I act and think differently?

When did I say that female warriors and male warriors where different?
I said that in terms of the Qun - you know the thing this whole thread as be about, a female Warden acts like a man, because she fights, but identifies as a women, which is the confusion for Sten.
Krem, acts like a man in terms of the Qun because he fights, but identifies as a man, so no confusion for Sten, because as Stean said you can't be a women and fight, you have to be one or the other.

I have no idea. I've never spoken to you face to face. But how do you usually discern between men and women? Or are you always just blindly guessing?

Oh obviously I walk up to them with a Bible, first, and ask them if they've found Jesus, then I guess I look and see if they have long or short hair before I decide what sex they are.

So...do you not have a serious response? Do you call everyone "it"? Use "he/she" all the time? I'm genuinely curious now.

Well considering at no point in DA:O did Sten get to inspect the Warden's gentaila, by your own logic the fact that Krem looks & behaves like a man would be enough for the Qun.
How is his post right here not the summation of this thread? If the Sten says the Warden looks female, and cannot be a warrior, then the fact that Krem looks male should allow him to be one.
However, my issue would be the fact that as people say, role is assigned very early. The problem with this becomes, does the Qun have the societal sexualization that we have in ours? Are male and female imeki (children) treated differently before they are assigned a role? If they are, then that would lead credence to the "Sten is correct" camp, but if everyone is a number until gender expression comes naturally, and only after that they are assigned a role, then The Iron Bull doesn't contradict anything that came before him.
Also, putting aside the Krem debate, how are the Qunari less interesting than before? I'm still interested in the treatment of saarabas for instance, mainly because of a slight contradiction I realized myself. In DA2, Ketojan and other saarabas never used a staff when casting spells, however, the InquisAdaar does. This wouldn't bother me, except they state they wee trained by a former saarabas. How? When did this saarabas learn to use a staff?
