So you just attack normally the whole time you play right? You don't use skills at certain times or build your char a certain way? Ya your right skill and strategy is absent lol. Maybe for you

Idk, I'm kind of in the middle. I can see both sides. I think DC was *difficult* before but not impossible. It was somewhat annoying though when I would be at full guard, Shield wall up and DC would still one shot me. Then other times it would block and Id take no damage. It just seemed like a coin toss. It usually came down to if you had barrier when the green circle popped up.

 

On the other hand, they went waaaaaaay to far the other direction and he barely hits for anything. It would be nice for it to be somewhere in the middle and maybe increase the time you have before he pops out or reduce the radius to account for lag.

The only strategy that matters is determining what Treasure Room doors to open and what Treasure Room doors to stand in front of waiting for someone to open.

So you simply just run through perilous with out waiting for your team or having a keeper? If you do that, good for you .. but I bet you don't. Staying with your team and doing a lot of things you probably don't think about is strategy...Champ.

The impression I get from many people is that the OHKO is cheap, since off-host escape moves can really suffer from rubberbanding. In fact, I currently have the issue that RTC's jump attack is a OHKO unless I have fade cloak (well, 2 hits and a knockdown...). Does the DC nerf make any difference to me? Not really, since I've discovered tons of ways to die in zone 5 regardless. But to good players? It seems to have removed the cheapness at the expense of difficulty.

Perhaps a fair compromise would be as people have already suggested, to have more elite mooks (and fewer cr*ppy goddam fracking *sshole snot-barrage spamming piece of fracking sh*t wraiths). That way, challenge would be increased in a way that rubberbanding doesn't mean instant death, and I'd have fun discovering new ways to faceplant.

Also, nerf spirit tonics. That way, when I forget to use them in zone 5, it won't be as embarrassing. Biower pls.

You didn't position or manuever correctly. Either find a corner and stick your back against it so you cannot be flanked, rotating your camera angle so you can actually see things instead of being in first person or move and turn around to block as the smoke gives away the sneak attack.

I like the idea of a triple Venatori Commander, mirror images, not sure which one's the "real" one.

 

Also, you could make Venatori Commander's spells actually do damage. Currently on Perilous, I can stand in fire and wail on her, and not give a crap about her. Increase the damage of her fire spells, the DOT tick of her Wall of Fire should at least be 300 a second. If you can't figure out how not to stand in fire, you shouldn't live to tell the tale.

 

Demon Commander nerfed is a joke now. I can solo him on my archer. I shouldn't be able to do that.

 

Red Templar is fairly challenging as is, but for an added challenge, definitely make him faster. Samson is sluggish. Kite FTW. He's rough on melee, but an absolute cinch for any ranged class.

 

Why is the Arcane Warrior so unbeliveably godly? I can solo Perilous spamming 1 button. Either buff warriors, (buff guard, give them better armor, or buff damage) or Nerf the AW.

 

I'd like to see Katari be a playable class on Perilous. As it stands now, he is gimp compared to Reaver, and any other melee class.

I haven't played Perilous much but don't think it matters much as the enemy tactics don't change per difficulty.

 

With Venatori commander I don't see much difference with regular foot soldiers. Both go down equally fast and don't hurt too much, that is if they ever hit you.

Fade step is nasty, but only buys her time as it doesn't hurt you. 

 

As for the Templar commander you can kite that dude days on end.

 

The Demon commander is the only one I don't want to face alone on just any class. With some I can but with most, no no.

 

With the human commanders I gotta agree with Innarra, make the wall hurt a lot more and buff the missiles a bit.

For templar I'd like to see something like that Katari Rush with a bit better maneuverability, or just make him jump more often.

I would love to see an undead type faction and have things like arcane horrors and revenants to deal with.

 

But I would also like to see the bigger enemies in round 5. it would make it a bit more believable and would up the difficulty of wave 5 without things like reverting the DC.

 

As for avoiding the DC. Some of us know how to do it but because of lag spikes or other things still can't always get out of it.  I've been well out of his telegraphed circle before and still taken a crap ton of spirit damage and got knocked down when he appeared.  Far enough out that I know I was out of his aoe appearance range because I've stood that far out and not been hit in the first place out of his range.

While at it then why not a greener pastures map with wolves, deep dwellers, bears, druffalos, walruses and trolls, basically all types of animals and lots of them.

I only had a choice between a lvl 2 or lvl 4 mace for the mace challenge with a low level templar.... 

 

Tell you what... Solo routine was not fun especially with demons... pretty much took forever to kill anything even with unqie shield, superb stamina amulet, superb ring of attack/ hok ring.

 

You should all equip level 2 - 4 weapons on solo and do a whole dungeon pull for lolz. 

 

Your character can only be between level 1 - 8.

even on routine the DC smoke pops you start execute an evade move and the green smoke just follows you so no matter where you move he pops under you....

 

you see the green smoke turn to face it and shield wall, the thing pops behind you and sends you flying .......

 

that's on host, off host its impossible to avoid if your the target because of lag delay (never a game without it)

 

although to be fair the worst commander to be against is the RTC, since the stupid demon red snot chucker's one shot you, the RTC tags you with his spin manoeuvre and your effectively sync killed (you cant get up any faster so your perma knocked down until you die from it unless your a mage with frost step)

 

the DC might not be as hard to kill on his own but all the other floor jumpers (without smoke) are a real problem to track and cause plenty of wipes in the "we have a life and didn't do 100 promotions in every class yet" club !

 

if you want a challenge get a new account or change to a different platform and see just how shockingly hard the game is with those vanilla toons and inquisition weapons!!!

Maybe you're not as strong as some of the folks that are saying it needs to be harder, nanotm, and that's ok. Keep up the grind and you'll get there. Sounds like you're complaining that it's too hard? Or maybe just playing devil's advocate. I suppose there are 2 different camps who think both ways about the difficulty level of Perilous.

 

I think Perilous is incredibly easy, and I'd love to see some higher difficulty levels, or adjust so it's harder. And if they're adding new content, by all means, adjust some of the existing content to keep it fresh. I love this game, and want to continue playing it.

 

I agree RTC is definitely the most challenging, but knowing when to move out of the way of his ranged Red Lyrium projectiles, or his jump attack, and easily kite away from his Spin to Win, he can be brought down by a solo ranged class while the rest of the party concentrates on the adds. Or, if you have a good Legionnaire or Arcane Warrior who can tank everything in a choke point with RTC (or any of the bosses) even better.

 

If you are playing with experienced players that communicate well, and with a diverse party make up, you can glide through Perilous. You could argue that grouping with random people on Perilous, you're not getting anywhere and dying a lot. Sure. It's made challenging for those willing to accept the challenge! Fight on, and keep looking for fun folks to group with!

Am I the only one that thinks they should give the pride demon a big boost,b/c imo this big ba******* does not punish or dish out the pain like he looks like he should.

 

Also what does everyone think about the new up date's?.No more choke points in the final room,the final room is now closed off when the final battle is activated.

@ having to place the flag as a group.
