LOL, you're trolling.
No, I'm not. I play Origins daily, I see no flaws, there is absolutely nothing in that game that bothers me, not even a little. DA2 should be DAO with more races and classes. And then DA3, 4, 5, 6, 7, etc. The only flaws in Origins was that it was a little to action compared to DnD, but was still bearable. People keep saying Origins nostalgic wants same thing over and over again... yeah, like having 3 classes and 3 races wasn't repetition. You get a base, you improve over it, DA have no base they keep repeating the same content over and over again without adding ****, not they added Qunari but races are not gameplay relevant as in DnD, also one extra race and no subraces is laughable. DAO was a good base and if they kept on that track by DA4 with increasing races and classes we could have something closer to the GODLIKE ALMIGHTY UNSURPASSABLE NWN2. But no, the imbeciles created a world only to reinvent it each game without improving ****. SAME OLD THREE RETARDED CLASSES! Not to mention things that got worse each time like stats and skills (or the lack of).
The DAO engine was not perfect. If any engine could claim that title it would have been the Infinity engine and that was far from perfect. The DAO engine was showing its age.
Opinions right? Not good for you, perfect for me, at least as I said above, as a base, and if they kept all that was in DAO just increasing the amount of classes, skills, feats and races, and telling a different story each time, it would get closer to perfection. The only true perfection that needs no improvement in the universe in NWN2, and perhaps God, but if he exists it will be hard to be as perfect as NWN2, I feel sorry for him. Game have everything that is needed in a RPG, STATS ARE EVERYTHING, your build decides everything, lots of races and subraces, lots of classes, lots of feats and specially EPIC FEATS. Seeing where games are going now with Sword Coast presenting a ridiculous low amount of 6 classes (ridiculously low, still double DA series), I'm pretty sure we will never see a game this good again, not even close.
DAO is one of my all time favorite games, but that engine is done.
It did well to last as long as it did from where it evolved from.
In terms of combat they still have work to do, too many issues to mention on mobile, but no guarantees a new BioWare developed engine wouldn't run into the same problems. Larian are still sorting issues out and to their credit they're still updating D:OS.
A lot of people have said it Inquisition reminds them of BG, as someone who recently completed a BGEE play through I see it. If the next DA game can make the same leap as what BG2 did from BG it could still be worth it.
BG? You mean the pure crap. Sometimes I praise BG but it is unintendedly, everytime I say BG I mean BG2, less exploration boring stuff. BG was a mistake that should have never existed, just like Inquisition. Exploration should be banned from RPGs, there should be a straight line in which your character moves automatically faces enemies in his way, like some Facebook games. This way you spend less time with stupid things and more time with things that matter, YOUR BUILD, YOUR STATS, STATS, STATS, STATS (aka the only relevant thing in a RPG). I like the Dragon Age Legends flash game more than Inquisition, there I have the objectivity I like, STATS, STATS, STATS, great character building and PROPER COMBAT. That game hould have been main series, in some ways it is even better than Origins, I'm sure the flash game would allow easier implementation of races, classes and feats. And seriously, nothing can be better than the NO ACTION BULLSHIT of a turn based game.
