What Mouse said.
I have a *really* hard time crying when people are around me. I might want to, but I'm incapable. I think maybe people think there's something wrong with me for it.
Come find me in the shower alone later and I will be laying down in the tub, cursing the world, pounding my fists on the floor, and wailing. My husband tried to come comfort me once and I refused to let him in because I wouldn't be able to continue to deal with sh*t in my mess up way if he were in the same room
Bottom line: Whatever it is you need to deal with what's happening it's fine
And Marshmallow Man, if you want to talk to some one about whatever is going on with you and you're health, I'm happy to listen in a non judgemental way.
You may cry at funerals or at similar occasions.
Who would deny that?
Got ninja twice I was talking about the dog pic
I would because I am a jerk! Seriously though. crying at funerals and sad events is fine if you want to do it. Personally, I don't cry in public or in private since I see it as a sign of weakness in myself. I would rather do archery practice a few hours longer instead to get my frustration out.

So is it okay to cry about being blocked by The Uncanny?
B-because I have.
I don't think I've ever posted on the same page as her in a thread, let alone talked to her directly. But yeah. #BlockedLife
So what you're saying is you stay on the block with the homies and Uncanny is the po po. #RNS
Of course it is. The idea that one needs to be a stoic unemotional ubermensch is an idiotic concept that leads to a lot of repression and thus the inability to properly express feelings when needed. Moreover if you think of crying as somehow being "feminine" and "unmanly". It leads to a lot of stagnation in children who have to hear that trite BS and then don't know how to express their feelings.
Humanity has emotions for a reason. Anytime a person says that guys need to stifle them, that person is dangerous, immature, and reckless.
I understand the desire to bottle it in though. I do that too, and I don't hold it against anyone. It's all about finding the right outlet that can make you cry, or just don't fight it next time. If people give you **** for it, tell them to **** off because you're a human being and not a robot.

My grandfather (he passed away a month ago at the age of 93) only cried once in all the years I knew him. My mother and grandmother said they'd never seen him cry aside from that once either. It was because my brother had died. He didn't cry very hard, maybe a few tears. I think the fact that he was born in an era in which "men simply don't cry" (I mean... he was born in 1921......) plus he was raised by staunch Lutheran/German immigrants - yeah... ehhhh that explains a lot! There really aren't many men nowadays like my grandfather (for better or worse). You kinda have to live through a Great Depression and be drafted in a World War (he was at the Battle of the Bulge) to kinda get the whole experience. ![]()
My point is that nowadays it seems odd if man *doesn't* cry. I mean, what is he trying to prove? He's so much different from the group of men who emerged from an era of, "don't cry - that's women stuff!" You know? It's too big of a gap. Never crying nowadays would typically land a little boy on an I.E.P. in public school setting, destined to be diagnosed with some kind of autism or another.
