Is there any intel floating around about what the BE will actually include? I am hoping it will carry unique or hard to find crafting and requisition materials, new armor and weapons, and if the RPG gods are smiling, new hairstyle choices.

I am assuming that because there has been an announcement that the BE is coming, that we won't have to wait too long - perhaps next month? I also assume that the BE will have a cost?

Any intel would be appreciated.

My inside source says it only has the existing schematics, no new ones, a place to change the color of the armor, and your face. The characters present in DA2 are also no longer their. The curator is hibernating, and the urchin + golem are no where to be found.

I am resolute in my refusal to pay B-Ware one dime for the Emporium if it just gives us access to the Vanilla CC now if they added new customization options then maybe but other than that not gonna happen.

Just having access to the regular CC would mean a lot less restarts for me. I ended up restarting literally 15-20 times before finishing my first playthrough. Big disappointment that it wasn't available through the developer console.

I have a feeling it will either cost $3 or $5 OR it will be chock full of micro transaction nonsense. Why else would they spend the time and resources to "fix" the item duping bug instead of about 100 other actual problems with the game? They probably want you to pay real money for crafting materials.

Fairly sure they said it'd be part of Patch 6, not a DLC.

Didn't they say the same thing with patch 5. See how that turned out?

I believe the reasoning for it not being in Patch 5 was purely that it wasn't considered ready for releaseyet. Whereas the Storage Chest, Tints et all, were.

I can't believe that the Black Emporium would be reintroduced without at least some stock that was new and unique to that vendor? Not accepting this until I see it for myself.

No, Bioware never said that. They announced it at the same time as Patch 5 so a lot of people assumed that it would be part of Patch 5. Bioware can't be blamed for people assuming

I doubt we'll get any of it, but this is what I really want from the Black Emporium:

- The ability to edit our Inquisitors (minus race and gender... and maybe name too).

- Half-decent hair styles for qunari.

- Half-decent horns for qunari.

- The ability to mix-and-match hair and horns... for qunari.

- Blond (and to a lesser extent, grey) eyebrows that are actually the same colour as the hair colour options.

- The ability to mix-and-match hair colour and eyebrow colour for every race.

It honestly wouldn't bother me if we don't get any new schematics or new items, but it would be nice.

Would pay money, too.

I'm not the guy who has more than one "real" character, and acccordingly it's mostly a very complete playthrough. So for just fixing some visual detail that's been irking me but isn't bad enough to restart an entire playthrough, or changing my beard if I feel like it; I'd pay what otherwise could also amount to the Blu-ray version of Step Up 2, or driving through the carwash twice. I work to earn money for silly things that don't make sense.

There, I said it.

That's because I'm that guy.

Spoiler

Seriously. I seem to be literally the only person with more than one "real" character.

Patch 5 will be the biggest patch we’ve released to date, and it addresses a number of key concerns for our community. As part of the beta, participants will have access to the Black Emporium, a mysterious underground shop run by an immortal proprietor. There, Inquisitors can find powerful artifacts and tools to aid their cause, purchase epic weapons, powerful accessories, new crafting materials and schematics, and even change their voice and facial appearance using the Mirror of Transformation.

Found this on the blog. It never stated that the BE would be on patch 5 only that it will be open to beta. There will be new schematics and etc. and says nothing about paying for it. No mention of new hairstyles  :( . Hope this answers your questions.

No, it was flat out stated that it would be included in the beta, not the patch.  Not their fault people didn't read all the way through before getting excited
