Rubbish. They're too busy warring with Qunari to care about some Southern riffraff.

True, but they won't always be at war with the Qunari & Tavinter really doesnt like people from other nations encrouching on their land. So, either way. Movrans ****ed.

Oddly enough, I have the latest update and the bug still works on Xbone.

That's odd. I know it's "fixed" on PS3, 360 and PS4.

Well, because of the NDA, I can't tell you what's in there but, I'd pay up to 10.99 USD for it - it's worth that much to me.

Discalimer: I also paid 20.00 for a single mount in another game. Nothing special just a good looking mount that doesn't help fight, carry gear or do anything except let me ride it out of combat.

So the Black Emporium is worthless?

I think we'll most likely just get new bugs and glitches to whine about.

No, it was flat out stated that it would be included in the beta, not the patch.  Not their fault people didn't read all the way through before getting excited

No.  While it was explicitly stated that TBE would be included with the Patch 5 Beta (aka Introducing the Patch 5 Beta Program, Featuring the Black Emporium), the Patch 5 Beta announcement never explicitly stated that Patch 5 would not include the Black Emporium.  If you read the blog, nothing in it states that Patch 5 will not include TBE.  Granted, nothing in the blog explicitly states that it would either.  Therefore, the announcement was ambiguous at best.  It didn't dawn on anyone at Bioware that the blog title alone might lead people to assume that TBE would be included in Patch 5?  If that is true, then that is very very sad.  Only later did Bioware state that TBE was included in the Patch 5 Beta because TBE (or certain features) require (at least) Patch 5.

Had Bioware simply included a disclaimer in the blog (DISCLAIMER:  Although Patch 5 Beta testers will have access to The Black Emporium,  Patch 5 will not include The Black Emporium), people would not have assumed / hoped that Patch 5 would include The Black Emporium.  In other words, there would have been no ambiguity.  To put it bluntly, Bioware's PR department screwed up the Patch 5 Beta announcement.  In hindsight, they would probably do it differently if they had it to do over again...

Oh, you mean like the fact that Patch 5 (or was it Patch 4?) broke auto-focusing on a character when you switch to that character, which is especially frustrating during combat?  I wonder what the eventual fix for that will break...

So many people here act like the bugs and "fixes" aren't an issue. What do these people get out of being apologists? Do they think John BioWare will be their friend?

Just . . . don't use goats.

hmm how about a goat stuffed with eggs? I should also paint all the eggs green with the words "BE NOW" on them. Lots to do.

It seems like folks would rather have it "NOW NOW NOW!" than it be tested thoroughly.  This game has enough issues.  Even if you loathe the game, or had fun, pretty much everyone agrees that there is some real bugs and issues that need to be addressed.   So the Black Emporium got pushed back in order to be polished for the players.  Why is this a big deal?  This kind of stuff happens all the time in many games.

By Odin, please give the testers and the devs the time they need for TBE and try to calm down.  Does anyone potentially want the Hawke voice bug back?  That's the one where if you used the non-default voice on your character (like the american voice on an elf,) then customized a Hawke, your character's voice would change to default.   That was fixed, but I could see a character creator in the Black Emporium possibly causing that bug to return.   Gods know what kinds of issues that could pop up if this isn't tested well.

They beta tested patch 5 and that still introduced a bunch of new bugs so it doesn't seem to matter how much time they take. Their QC is abysmal.

Please note that the Black Emporium is not part of the patch 5 release. Thanks to the excellent feedback we received from the people in our beta program, we are continuing to work on this feature.

Enjoy.

The issue I have is not that TBE has been pushed back.  The issue is that Bioware does not have a good track record, thus far, with DAI stability and patching.  IIRC, there was a Day One Patch.  Then, Patch 2 created issues that required a hotifix (mesh settings or quality on PC?).  Then, Patch 3 was released and also had issues that required a hotfix.  I play DAI on Xbox 360 and our Patch 4 was essentially the PC Patch 3 + hotfix.  Patch 5 is released (apparently on Consoles first even though it was Beta tested on PC)  and I am pretty sure I am having the Party banter issue (again), which had been fixed in Patch 4.  Also, I notice much less loot dropping and I have seen people stating that almost all Amulets of Power have disappeared.  And, I believe it was Patch 5 (but it might have been Patch 4) that broke auto-center when you switch to a character.  This is really a pain during combat.  Lastly, while I am certainly willing to wait for TBE I think Bioware's PR department screwed up the Patch 5 Beta test announcement by not explicitly stating that TBE would not be included in Patch 5.  I have no doubt Patch 6 will address some issues.  However, I won't be surprised if it also creates some issues (based upon past Patches and hotfixes for DAI).

I'm sure the players that are testing TBE really appreciate that.   Way to be classy.    <_<   I've read your posts and to be blunt, I have no idea what you're doing here besides constantly ripping into the company, the publisher or the game.

Besides, if you have no faith in the company, why are you here?  To "warn us?"  To mindless rip on a game that you don't care for?   Or are you just deciding that anything Inquisition related is garbage and feel a compelling need to tell the forums?

Isn't there places on reddit or tumblr or on twitter where you can inform the masses on how much you think this game sucks with every single sodding post?

All the more reason for more testing so this isn't rushed out like Patch 2-4 was.  There is tons of threads on the Feedback section that go into the very things you are talking about.  Rather than tying it directly to this feature, head in there and let them know.

Had there not been a list of issues, it most likely would have been. For free. Like it still should be at a latter date.

If you're on PC, there is a fix for that up on nexus mods to put back those AoP into the chests.

Look, I'm not saying the game has issues.  I'll happily go into one of the Feedback threads and list my beefs with the game.  That being said, if anything, this is all the more of a reason to make sure TBE is actually ready to go.  Besides, the players are involved and considering the number of bug fixes that modders have done over the years, I feel like we are in good hands this time.

Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't realize this was your forum, where dissenting opinions are forbidden.  If all you want is a monotonous hugbox where everyone agrees about everything and loves everything you love in the same way you love it then the internet is not for you.

Yeah, isn't it great that the players are willing and able to fix some of BioWare's mistakes? Lets all pat BioWare on the back for cultivating such a fanbase and giving them the opportunity to fix so many glaring issues...

That was after the fact, since that blog if for the Patch itself and not the Patch 5 Beta test announcement.  The Patch 5 Beta test announcement can be found here and nowhere does it explicitly mention that Patch 5 would not include The Black Emporium.  Granted, it does not explicitly mention that Patch 5 would include TBE.  However, someone at Bioware should have had enough sense or foresight to realize that people might hope / assume / misinterpret that TBE was going to be included in Patch 5, based upon the Patch 5 Beta announcement title (Introducing the DAI Patch 5 Beta Program, Featuring the Black Emporium)  Simply put, Bioware's PR Department screwed up the Patch 5 Beta announcement by not explicitly mentioning that Patch 5 would not include The Black Emporium.  That was only explicitly stated in the Patch 5 patch notes (the link you provided)...

No, I told you to take it into the Feedback section, where the devs can actually read it.  Not bring it into every thread, because you're sounding like a stuck record.  Hug box?  Nice example of reductio ad absurdum.   I applaud your efforts, and I've seen your practice hasn't paid off.  Better luck next time.

No, I have a different take.  You don't have to be quiet, or just take whatever you don't like in a game.  However, this is supposed to be fun and folks like you seem determined to make sure everyone is as unhappy as you.  I believe that we should all try not being a jerk to each other and the company while expressing dissenting views.  You know, like an adult?  I get along quite well with some of the unhappier folks on the forums, because I am civil.  I respect where they are coming from, and oftentimes agree on some points.  They're expressing concerns and anger, but also express solutions as well.  Life's too short to dwell on something you hate.

Are you actually trying to twist my post to mean the players are the problem?

You need to think about what you say when it comes to this feature.  The players are apart of the QA testers this time, so that includes them too.

Almost completely irrelevant. The Beta had BE, it was full of issues, and they pulled it from Patch 5 for more work, as evidenced by the note in the patch notes for Patch 5. Also, beta testing patch notes/announcements =/= whats coming in a final release version. Sometimes the simplest answer is the best and truest, there's not always some conspiracy or incompetency.

Theres another thread discussing this. The amulets affected were removed in patch 5 from the loot drop tables.

I understand that Bioware chose to remove certain Amulets of Power to remove an exploit.  For example, there used to be an Amulet of Power for Cole next to where Cole is in the Skyhold Tavern.  That Amulet is gone.  Instead of removing the Amulets of Power, they should have been the only item in a chest.  That way, you can only take the Amulet once and cannot farm the Amulet repeatedly.  Granted, in Cole's case the chest next to him has an item specifically for him. But, that probably could have been added to his default inventory or perhaps another chest on the ground next to Cole...
