It's that day again 

 

The Druffalo challenge was a good one, I wonder what we will face this week?

So is that why I missed the twitch stream? Daylight savings on the second Sunday of March in the US and Canada as opposed to the last Sunday of March in most of Europe? Does that mean the stream will start at 6 pm CET?

so - as noticed in another thread... there seems to be a new challenge coming (at least in HQ there are 50 points challenge progress unaccounted for - which is to big a number for a mere weekend challenge...)

I don't have this in my copy of Inquisition HQ...

Hmm,I think DST is in Russia active all year,but didn't know that in NA change in other time than in Europe.

I see it now, the Challenge Progress total has increased and is now 50 more than adding up the challenge totals.

 

 

The total variations are down to the Community challenges achieved, or not.

 

So, let's speculate 

 

Any new class would add 10 points.

• Earn 100,000 experience with [x]
• Complete 250 operations with the [x]

Any new map would add 10 points.

• Collect 1,000,000 gold from [location]
• Earn 100,000 experience while in [location]

Any new foe type would add 5 points.

• Defeat 5,000 [foe type]

So, I don't think there are new foes as the 5 points would throw out the numbers.

 

I'm going for 2 new maps (20 points) and 3 new classes, one of each type, warrior, mage, rogue (30 points).

 

Doesn't hurt to speculate does it. 

 

(or it might just be a super challenge with 50 points...)

I don't think they can add new maps or characters without releasing a new DLC.

 

Maybe this weekend's challenge will be to get killed by Druffalo, not kill them.  We proved last week how good we were at that.

Whatever is going on, it's different to the usual 10 additional challenge points.

Also, just as an interesting factoid, the crew will be doing the stream on PC for the first time, as opposed to XBox One or PS4.

As we know, Graham is the guru of maps and environments.

 

We know the challenge points are going up as the total has mysteriously increased by 50.

 

 

The individual challenges are in the system but clearly masked.

The reveal in the total is either an unrealised effect of the changes or a deliberate tease.

 

Whilst DLC needs to be released and downloaded, I don't believe the challenge portion of DAMP relies on the download and also I think Inquisition HQ will show all the challenge stats whether a dlc download has been made or not.

 

Don't forget, when the personal challenge bugged out with the Druffalo last week, they fixed it on the fly with a live update within minutes, it's not patch reliant.

 

So:

 

I'm sticking with the (slightly amended) theory that the 50 points are:

 

The challenge as usual.

• Personal challenge (5 points)
• Community challenge (5 points)

One new map coming online next week/very soon^TM .

• Collect 1,000,000 gold from [location] (5 points)
• Earn 100,000 experience while in [location] (5 points)

I'm also going to guess 3 new classes coming online next week/very soon^TM,

one of each type, warrior, mage, rogue 

• Earn 100,000 experience with [x] (15 points, 5x3 classes)
• Complete 250 operations with the [x] (15 points, 5x3 classes)

Total, 50 challenge points.

 

Of course this may be none of these things and I should have a lie down...
