I play on PS3! And I'll talk if I damn well please! And more importantly, I'll speak in a deeper, gravely voice since I play Katari; and I'll even throw in a few Qunari words, or just outright tell you to get your ass over here, you magical bastards/sneaky bastards and get this thing open so I can loot and scoot!

So mute them
/thread

I always do, but there's about a minute or so you can hear them and you aren't in the game yet so you can't mute them. Also I have a pretty heavy duty and very loud surround sound, and for some reason mic vocals are the loudest thing in the world so it makes my eardrums bleed and blows out my speakers.

The mute feature is your friend. Again, the insults? Really? Come on, this is getting idiotic. Use the mute option, and please don't come into the forums throwing insults around.

It will get you flamed, since it comes off very aggressive.

Having to hurry and mute my receiver before my speakers explode make me a little aggressive. Seriously though, it's just the way I talk. It amuses me.

That's slightly hostile, and giving me the childish urge to go on DAI MP and start making the most obnoxious sounds I can but on the other hand that takes effort that I don't care to put into MP anything.

Make fart noises.

If someone is being a b**ch and making obnoxious noises or playing sh*tty music I can understand getting upset at, but simply talking? Maybe if they're saying really idiotic nonsense sure, but as a rule I would disagree. The entire idea of having a headset with a microphone is to talk.

I got headphones with microphone because they cost less than headphones without one lol,i don't even plug the microphone cable.

Why not disable chat.

Seriously, no one wants to hear your stupid voice.

What about my smart voice?  Most people seem to like that one better than my stupid one.  I can also do a Canadian accent.  Say stuff like aboot - and eh.. people seem to enjoy that one too.

I'm more conerned about tanks that don't aoe taunt then talking.  Seriously, who plays a Legion without warcry and Walking Fortress.  More people then you could imagine.

I miss the old days where online gaming was chatting, it's much more comfortable to type "lol" than to actually play muted or listening to voices sometimes i don't even understand. Please, ideas like this are good.. devs should consider!

let's unite many ideas like this, i made my post here. fill it up with ideas!

forum.bioware.com/topic/550251-collective-multiplayer-ideas/

one big step, there isn't one dedicated forum for multiplayer suggestions... can't be mixed with single player. different games!

salut :)
