I just played as a Shadow Inf with a Fury in a game for Gold/Cerb/Condor. :D

You guys have to lose the Fury focus. I just used it as I thought it was a clear cut vision of what I meant. I could of used a melee only kit as an example or whatever. But my point is the same one as folks usually show when they in a full biotic lobby with Disrupter Ammo, common courtesy says be nice and change Disrupter Ammo to something else. This was my more line of thinking when I started this topic.

If there is a biotic on the team I always replace disruptor or incendiary ammo with warmp ammo. Cryo mostly collect dust :P

Really weird stuff is when biotics themselves aren't using warp ammo.

Nah, I just shoot enemies in the face when I feel bad.

And I do make dubstep music with my Javelin occasionally.

Sarcasm to my first response aside... No, you shouldnt be ashamed because:

  1. This is co-op. People can use whatever the hell they want to get the job done and not be ashamed.
  2. This is co-op, therefore score and how many times you died more/less than your team is irrelevant and only people with tiny epeen (possibly even tiny real life peen) care about those things. What's important is that the team does well and if someone has to play an infiltrator to do it, that's fine.
  3. Most importantly, this is co-op. It's not competitive at all...

I don't get the question.  The infiltrators are some of the most fun characters in the game.  What's to be ashamed of?

But it is competitive. Don't tell me it's not when I've got a phantom staggerlocked with the Falcon and about to kill it and an AIU runs from behind me, tries to Reegar it, and then after failing, runs back from where they came, and fights alone for 95 percent of the match, never trying to revive our teammates, messing up enemy spawns, and not doing objectives (unless it involves Cobra Missiling a target spawn). Or the Juggernaut in a game a few days ago who never tanked, was in third place on wave 11, and proceeded to spam Cobra missiles at spawns even though we were doing fine without it, just so he could get top score.

It's only competitive when douchebags who only care about points try to make it that way, but players like that are unfortunately too common.

If anyone is ashamed of playing infiltrators, then they should be ashamed. Infiltrators are my main squeezes so I couldn't give a single f*ck whether someone approves or not.

Yeah, this game is "competitive" for some people.  I never care about my score.  But... some people are competing with you, even if you're not competing with them.  That's fine, I don't care.  The only time I do care is when they spam missiles on Wave 11, and suddenly my "wait out the clock and don't waste any more consumables" strategy turns into "holy ****, 2 Praetorians just spawned on top of my head!"

To all you "competitive people" (i.e., douchebags) who feel the need to spam missiles to make sure you finish #1:  Please spam them on Waves 8-9 (or Wave 10, but only AFTER the objective is completed), instead of on Wave 11.  Thanks a bunch.

Sadly, that's very true and too many players make it that way. But I take you back to one of my previous points...

As long as you remember that, it shouldn't bother you too much. That top score means shit because all he did was scorewhore and didn't help the team at all. The only justlfied way to be competitive in this game is if you get a good team together and try to go for quick completion times or try to make challenges for yourself (like soloing or Prestacious' challenges). Everything else is just for fun.

edit: Bioware potato plz...  <_<

Mostly due to agro dump. As in lets say you have a Fury on Condor and your entire team are tac-cloak spamming winfiltrators. That Fury is going to have a bad day.

I'm just saying as lately I've developed some sort of conscience and even without thinking it I've been avoiding the Infiltrator class more often. Just as I avoid Disrupter Ammo & Overload if a biotic is present (wish others would do that when I at least Fury, lol). Why should I have such an advantage over the pugs when I'm the one with more playtime & experience then most pugs I bump into?

But meh, it's just a thought. So wondering what others think...

No, you shouldn't be "ashamed" to play an infiltrator, or any other kit for that matter, that's nonsensical.

No if the infiltrator is worth his/her salt they will do enough work to offput the slight increase in aggro to the other players. And the other players if they know what they are doing won't suddenly be overwhelmed by the infiltrators cloaking sporadically.

you forgot dying 18 times a wave because Furry is "squishy" (yeah, a character that can drain shields indefinitely is squishy).

I always found her shield drain unreliable. Maybe it's an off host thing since I rarely host, but when I play her I don't even bother factoring it in to my gameplay since I hardly see it ever really work. I just make sure either things die or I run away fast enough before my shields are down haha

I never tank when I Juggy because I just find that incredibly boring. Why choose a play style that has you standing in one spot for 20-30 minutes? No, my Juggy is always on the move spamming Siege Pulse like a champ!

You should play your Ghost infiltrator with pride. He is an Armiger and a true Turian.

I haven't played the Harrier TGI in months but this thread has made me want to.

Heck, the last time I played him I only had a Harrier III and now it's up to VIII. The clip probably holds, like, 16 more bullets now! :)

I can sum up my thoughts for this topic very concisely: lol

Still this thread is better than most currently on the first page

If I'm dead, I'm already out and searching for a new pug match. Let the soloing hero continue without me. ;)

Now the question is, "should someone be ashamed of quitting in the middle of a match just because they went down."

They wouldn't be nearly as bad if people would kick them after games, but wanting to kick a scorewhore when I'm in second place would make people think I'm petty. It's a lose-lose with those fools. :(

Nonetheless, you're right that it's not a big deal. Just kind of annoying.

I haven't noticed aggro dumps on me in over a year regardless of what I play or what infilatrators are in my lobbies, so I guess it doesn't bother me.

If I'm playing an infiltrator I'm going to be killing stuff faster than most pugs.  I doubt the aggro dumping bothers them.

I don't see a problem here.

Really? Furries in my lobby just seem to increase the amount of TB kills I get via QMI Arcnades.

You have been played with bad furries..and ofc u can take biotics away with ur nades ..and make the game very hard for a biotic..we should play few games  :D
